Police say Gbaraba was behind the wheel. He's 19-years-old and has been in the U.S. 13 years since emigrating from Nigeria.
According to the police report, Briana Parker witnessed a fight
break out at The Fubar on Letchworth Street. She says Gbaraba was
involved in the fight. Security then shut down the bar and everyone
started walking home. Parker testified someone said "gun," then Gbaraba
ran to his car and sped out, nearly hitting another car.
Parker testified she saw the car driving down Letchworth Street at
about 50 mph and turned the corner without stopping. She says she
witnessed the car hit Jerez,Free Streaming Arabic TV stations online is

Looking at the video you might wonder whether Gbaraba targeted
Jerez. But in court, Jerez testified he wasn't involved in the bar
fight. He told the court he saw the fight but was just walking back to
his dorm. The next thing he remembers is waking up in the hospital.
He said, "The pain was nothing like I've felt before."
You might think the surveillance video is pretty damning evidence
against Gbaraba, but his lawyer Sam Davis calls it a double-edged
sword. Davis will likely raise the question of fight or flight, that
Gbaraba was afraid for his life trying to escape the bar fight and not
driving recklessly.
One other witness told police it appeared Gbaraba targeted Jerez,
swerving across the street to the left curb going right after him.
Right now, the most serious charge against Gbaraba is assault with
intent to cause serious injury.
