気仙沼市の中学校での防災教育（英語）

宮城県気仙沼市の階上中学校〈はしかみ　ちゅうがっこう）で拙著『海辺の公民館』について英語でお話をさせていただきました。3.11の津波により流失した公民館を日本中・世界中の人たちの支援と共に住民が再建した物語です。
英語で震災についてどう伝えるかの学びです。

I gave a short talk in English on my book "Community Center by the Sea" at Hashikami junior high school in Kesennuma. The Center was washed away by the 3.11 tsunami and rebuilt by the residents with support of all over Japan and the world. 
This talk was about how to tell about the disaster in English, too,

石巻市松並公園での花植え

２０２５年６月８日
東日本大震災で被災した石巻市の松並公園で花を植えました。
ムーアさん一家（アメリカ）、原さん（仙台）が花やクッキーをご提供くださいました。また林先生（神奈川）は今年もご自身が育てた花を苗を１０時間以上も運転して届けてくださいました。
この素晴らしいプロジェクトを実現する松並地区の住民の皆様と参加者の皆様に感謝です。そしてスワン国際協力の会の代表として、自分がこのプロジェクトに関わることができ光栄です。

We planted flowers in Matsunami Park, Ishinomaki where the Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami hit hard.
The Moores, USA and Mrs, Hara, Sendai, funded to purchase the flowers and cookies. Prof. Hayashi provided flowers he grew by driving hours from his home as he does every year.
I especially thank Matsunami community residents and participants for making this beautiful project happen.
I am honored to be involved in this project as the head of Swan International.
