This kitten is a female Manul Cat cub in "Saitama Children's Zoo" who was born on April 21st of this year.
この子猫ちゃんは、4/21に生まれた、埼玉こども動物自然公園のマヌルネコの女の子です。
Manul cats are a kind of wildcat, and it is said that Manul cats are the oldest species in the cat families.
マヌルネコさんは、ヤマネコの一種で、ネコ科の中で最も古い種類だって言われてるです。
She is 4 months old, and still a child.
この子は４ヶ月才で、まだ子供です。
She is energetic, and is pawing a lot, and is so cute.
彼女は活発で、よくじゃれて、とっても可愛いです。

Actually, she is a triplet, but her sisters passed away.
She is the sole survivor.
この子は、ホントは、三つ子だったですけど、彼女の姉妹は、儚くなってしまったです。
Her parents are "Oscar" and "Tabby".
彼女の両親は、「オスカー」と「タビー」です。
Oscar came from Rotterdam Zoo in Netherlands 5 years ago.
オスカーは、５年前に、オランダのロッテルダム動物園から来たです。
Tabby came from “Ueno Zoo" at the end of last year.
タビーは、昨年末、上野動物園から来たです。
This was the first time that Tabby gave birth to a baby, because of that she might be confused.
タビーが赤ちゃんを産むのは、これが初めてだったので、タビーは混乱しちゃったのかもしれないです。
She neglected her babies.
残念なことに、彼女は、育児放棄しちゃったです。
So, zookeepers who are in charge of Manul cat have reared her babies since the babies were born.
なので、赤ちゃん達がうまれた時から、マヌルネコの担当の飼育員さん達が、赤ちゃん達を育てたです。
I guess the zookeepers did their best.
飼育員さん達は、最善を尽くしたと思うです。
But unfortunately 2 of the triplets passed away.
だけど、三つ子のウチのふたっつは、儚くなっちゃったです。
彼女は、唯一の生き残りです。
Therefore, she is the sole survivor.
The first milk is very necessary for all mammals.
初乳は、全ての哺乳類にとって、とても重要です。
Because of that the first milk includes self-protecting-system against various disease.
初乳には、いろんな病気に対する、免疫が含まれてからです。
But Tabby’s triplets didn’t get the first milk.
だけど、タビーの三つ子ちゃんたちは、初乳を貰えなかったです。
In the wild, Manul cats live in the mountainous, rocky areas of middle-Asia.
マヌルネコは、野生下では、中央アジアの山岳地帯に住んでるです。
The climate there is very cold, so the virus and the bacteria are inactive.
そこでの気候は、とても寒くて、ウイルスやばい菌は、活発じゃないです。
It was hot and humid this summer, so I guess bacteria couldn’t stop the laughing.
今年の夏は、暑くて、ムシムシしてたから、ばい菌どもは、笑いがとまんなかったと思うです。
But the one of the triplets was able to win.
だけど、三つ子のひとつは、打ち勝った勝ったです。
She is the first successful complete bottle feeding baby of a Manul cat in Japan.
彼女は、日本で初めて成功した、完全人工保育の赤ちゃんです。
By the way, there was a bottle feeding Manul Cat in "Higashiyama Zoo" in Nagoya.
ちなみに、名古屋の東山動植物園に、人工保育のマヌルネコさんがいたです。
But the baby was reared by his mom until he was 3 weeks old.
でも、その子は、生後３週間まで、お母さんに育てられたです。
I heard that according to definition of JAZA(Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums), "Bottle feeding baby" is “The baby who has never been taken care of by its mom".
JAZA(日本動物園水族館連盟)の定義によると、「人工保育の赤ちゃん」とは、「一度もお母さんにお世話されていない子」ということらしいです。
This kitten doesn't have a name yet.
この子には、まだ、お名前がないです。
From tomorrow to 23rd of this month, the zoo will accept applications for a name from ordinary visitors.
動物園は、明日から、今月の23日まで、彼女のお名前を、一般の来園者から募集するです。
