Social communication and social interaction behaviors may include:

  • Making little or inconsistent eye contact
  • アイコンタクトがない、少ない
  • Appearing not to look at or listen to people who are talking
  • 話している人を見ない、話を聞かない
  • Infrequently sharing interest, emotion, or enjoyment of objects or activities (including infrequently pointing at or showing things to others)
  • 興味を共有したがらない
  • Not responding or being slow to respond to one’s name or to other verbal bids for attention
  • 名前を呼ばれてもすぐに反応しない
  • Having difficulties with the back and forth of conversation
  • 会話のやり取りが困難
  • Often talking at length about a favorite subject without noticing that others are not interested or without giving others a chance to respond
  • 他の人は興味ないことに気づかず、自分の好きなことを話し続ける
  • Displaying facial expressions, movements, and gestures that do not match what is being said
  • 状況に合わない表情やジェスチャーをする
  • Having an unusual tone of voice that may sound sing-song or flat and robot-like
  • 歌を歌っているようだったり、抑揚のないロボットのようなトーンなど、普通ではないトーンで話す
  • Having trouble understanding another person’s point of view or being unable to predict or understand other people’s actions
  • 他の人の視点がわからない、他の人の行動を予測、理解できない
  • Difficulties adjusting behavior to different social situations
  • 状況に合わせた振る舞いができない
  • Difficulties sharing in imaginative play or in making friends
  • 空想上の遊びや友達を作るのが苦手


Restrictive/repetitive behaviors may include:

  • Repeating certain behaviors or having unusual behaviors, such as repeating words or phrases (a behavior called echolalia)
  • 特定の動きを繰り返す
  • Having a lasting intense interest in specific topics, such as numbers, details, or facts
  • 特定のものに長期間に渡り異様な興味を示す
  • Showing overly focused interests, such as with moving objects or with parts of objects
  • 物を動かしたり、物の一部に過剰な興味を示す
  • Becoming upset by slight changes in a routine and having difficulty with transitions
  • ルーティンが少しでも変わると動揺したり、切り替えが苦手
  • Being more sensitive or less sensitive than other people to sensory input, such as light, sound, clothing, or temperature
  • 光や音、衣類、温度に対して普通の人よりも過敏、または鈍感
