アメリカのニュースサイトを観ていると、この９月からフェイス役でやってくる外国人ダンサーさんのエッセイが掲載されていました。18歳の女性のようですね。
苦労のすえ、オーディションに合格したようです。2006年3月まで東京でパレードやショーに出られるということです。どんな人なんでしょうね。

Temecula resident, 18, to play 'Belle' or 'Jasmine' at Tokyo Disney Resort

TEMECULA ---- Last spring, thousands of people from across North America tried out for a coveted job playing the role of a beloved Disney character at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan.

It took 18-year-old Marie LaMarca of Temecula five hours to win over Disney officials. 

On a whim, LaMarca ---- a Chaparral High School senior at the time ---- traveled to Hollywood on a fateful day last April to take part in auditions along with hundreds of hopefuls, including professional actors and dancers in their 20s.

Competition was fierce, she said, and the Hollywood audition was one of 20 conducted across the nation and beyond to find the perfect candidates for roles made famous in Disney movies. The audition started at 8 a.m. and ended at 1 p.m., she said. Two weeks later, she got the job.

Not expecting much more than a learning experience when she went to the audition, LaMarca believes she won Disney officials over by being cheerful and honest, innocent yet determined ---- much like the two roles for which she was under consideration.

She will perform in stage shows and parades, take part in photo shoots and visit with park patrons at the Toyko-based amusement resort as either Princess Jasmine from the movie "Aladdin" or Belle from the movie "Beauty and the Beast."

She is now preparing to leave for Japan, and will learn which role she will play when she arrives there in early September.

As someone who spent her high school years as a member of her school's dance and cheerleading teams, she said her ability to quickly pick up dance steps taught by instructors who mainly spoke Japanese aided her progression through the ranks during the audition.

Also in her favor during the audition, she said, were her facial features, on which she said interviewers quickly complimented her. LaMarca has eyebrows that mirror those found on princesses drawn in Disney movies ---- and a smile to match, as well.

LaMarca said she is thrilled, honored and blessed to have been chosen out of so many.

"I feel this is an opportunity of a lifetime," said LaMarca in a recent interview at her house in south Temecula, a city she has called home for almost all of her life.

When Disney officials offered her the job in the spring, she had been in the middle of trying to decide which university to attend. She said the choice was clear.

"This is an education in itself," she said. "I'll learn the language and the culture."

Her job description calls for her to work in parades, stage shows, photo shoots and public interactions in an eight-month contract that expires April 2006.

LaMarca said she will go this adventure alone, without one of her parents living in Japan, although they plan to visit. Her parents said they are happy for her and support her decision.

"We had two weeks to kind of think about it," said father Tom LaMarca about the period after the audition and before she got the call offering her a job. "We felt it was the opportunity of a lifetime, with the life experiences she'll gain."

Jan LaMarca said, like any mother, she is worried about her daughter being so far away. But, she said, it is an amazing chance to try something not many people get to do.

Marie LaMarca said she is unsure what she will do once the contract ends. She said that in addition to the love of performing, she hopes to study public relations and major in communications.

アイーダのメレブに有賀くんが入っていますね。
これもまたずいぶんと久しぶりな気がします。

アスペはジェニーが紗乃さん、ジョージは光枝さんに戻っています。
ジュリエッタは大鳥さんですね。

BBやLK、マンマなどは特に変化無しと・・。
週半ばのキャス変がどうなるか？って感じでしょうか。

出演予定者公表方法変更について
８月１日より出演予定者の公表方法を変更させていただきましたことに関して、「四季の会」会員の皆様を含めお客様からさまざまなご意見やご要望を頂戴いたしております。すべて劇団内で拝見・拝聴し、今後の劇団運営の参考とさせていただきます。しかしながら、内容が多岐に亘り、全てにお返事を差し上げることは困難でありますことをなにとぞご理解いただけますようお願い申し上げます。

また、一部におきまして誤解が生じている面があるように思われましたので、ここであらためてお伝え申し上げます。
劇団四季ではこれまで毎週の出演予定者を公表して来ましたが、それはあくまで「予定」であり、急な変更があり得る旨は常にお知らせしてまいりました。様々な事情により予定キャストの変更は起こるものでございます。今回の変更は、混乱の原因となり得る未確定段階での公表を出来るだけ少なくするために行ったことで、基本的な考え方は従来通りでございます。

お客様には、俳優を見ていただくのではなく、あくまで作品を見ていただきたいというのが四季の一貫した信念です。この信念のもと、お客様へのサービス向上に努めてまいります。ご理解を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
