Today I went to Sitges Yacht Harbor for the first time in a while to take video of the sunset.
今日は久しぶりにSitgesのヨットハーバーに夕陽の撮影に行きました。
This is my favorite boat in this yacht harbor. What I like is the name.
Its name is Ruby, but if you add G, it becomes Rugby.
If you change Ruby's b to d, it becomes Rudy.
このヨットハーバーで私が1番好きな船です。好きなのは名前です。
Rubyというのがその名前ですが、Gを加えるとRugbyになります。
Rubyのbをdに変えるとRudyになります。
Rudy was an amazing dog. He was born to my aunt's family in Okayama, and his pedigree included multiple champions, he was smart, athletic, and had a great personality.
Rudyは本当にすごい犬でした。岡山の叔母の家に生まれたのをもらったのですが、血統書にはチャンピオンがいくつもあり、賢いし運動能力も抜群で、また素晴らしい性格をしていました。
In Tokyo, I lived near Arisugawa Park and used to play there every day.
One day, I met a small dog at the entrance of Arisugawa Park.
The dog was very happy to have Rudy befriend him, but the owner and his wife said, ``We want to go to Arisugawa Park, but once we go in, this dog will be bullied by other dogs, and we won't be able to go in because we're scared.'' "is what they said.
東京では有栖川公園の近くに住んでいて、毎日有栖川公園で遊んでいたのですが、ある時、有栖川公園の入り口で小さな犬に出会いました。その犬はルディに仲良くしてもらい非常に喜んでいたのですが、飼い主の夫婦は「有栖川公園には行きたいのだが、一度入ったらこの犬が他の犬にいじめられて、怖がって入れない」とのことでした。
When I told him, ``It's okay with Rudy,'' he followed Rudy fearfully, and since he was Rudy's friend, he didn't bully other dogs and got along well with him, which made him very happy.
「ルディと一緒だと大丈夫ですよ」と言ったら、恐る恐るルディについてきて、ルディの友達ということで他の犬もいじめることはなく、仲良くしてもらって、大喜びでした。
Rudy was famous in Arisugawa because he was kind to small children and would stand up to big dogs.
I too have been influenced by Rudy's way of life.
ルディは小さな子には優しく、大きな犬には立ち向かっていくので、有栖川でも有名でした。
私もルディの生き方に影響されてしまったほどです。
I think it's typical of me to have a dog teach me how to live as a human.
犬に人としての生き方を教えてもらうなど、私らしいと思っています。
