母とともに車で祖母に会いに行った。
車は私の運転でこれが教習所卒業後初めての運転だった。
車で片道２時間程度の道のりで、往復４時間。
だいぶ自信もついた。
さて私の祖母の話だが、
彼女は大変グルメな人だ。
この日もお昼はおすすめのイタリア料理店。
祖母と母と私でランチコースを注文し、
それぞれパスタとピザとリゾットを選んで取り分けた。
食後のデザートを食べていたとき、
祖母
「やっぱりここはどの料理もおいしかったわ」
と満足げ。
「でも…
ピザはイマイチだったわ。」
と言って祖母はそれから散々ピザの文句を言った。
最後に
「盗聴器でお店の人に全部聞かれてたらどうしよう」
と言った。
おばあさん、
盗聴器はないけれど、
多分全部聞かれていたよ。
だってあなたの座っているその席は
オープンキッチンの目の前だからね。
店内はとっても静かだし。
ごめんなさい。お店の人。
ピザ以外は素晴らしかったから自信もってね。
ごちそうさま。
On Saturday,
I went to see my grandmother with my mother by car.
I drove the car, and it was my first time after I graduating driving school.
It took about two hours by car so, round trip took about four hours.
Today boosted my confidence.
By the way, I’ll talk about my grandmother.
She is a foodie so, she took us to a recommended Italian restaurant.
We each ordered lunch dishes.
The main dishes were a pizza, pasta, and risotto.
After we ate the meal,
my grandmother said
“ Everything was delicious.”
She seemed satisfied.
“ But the pizza was not good.”
She said.
After that, she complained a lot about pizza.
“ What if the staff are eavesdropping on this complaint with a microphone.”
She said.
Grandma, there is no microphone,
but the complaint was most likely heard.
That’s because your seat is in front of the open kitchen,
and this restaurant is calm.
I sincerely apologized to the chefs.
Everything was delicious except for the pizza so, be confident!!
It was a great lunch.
