I'm sorry that all my recent blog posts are so depressing.

I'm really sorry.

Yesterday was AAA's 7th anniversary.

AAA is one of my most favorite Jpop groups.

I love their songs, and the members so much.

On their 7th anniversary, they have decided to lock their public blog to only fan club members.

I felt shocked and disappointed. And crushed.

Now I feel depressed.

I don't know why they did it. Maybe it's because of copyright? I don't really understand copyright very much. I thought it's only for downloading of music and videos? Why does the blog need to be locked? Avex has not given an explanation at all.

I have no way of joining their fan club because I don't live in Japan.

I am willing to pay to join, but I can't because they haven't given me a way.

AAA is closing the channel between themselves and the international fans.

I feel really sad that now I'll get to see them even less.

Somehow it feels more distant.

This move will cause AAA to lose a lot of international fans. I will continue to support them. But I admit it's going to be hard.

The reason why I love AAA is because of how much they give the fans.

Honestly, it's tough to be a international fan of Jpop groups.

It feels really one-sided.

I wonder if they know? Every time they delete a YouTube video because of copyright, they lose more chances for them to have international fans.

I know it's part of the law, but this is the truth.

I found out about Arashi through YouTube videos.
I found out about AAA through YouTube videos.
I found out about anime, voice actors like Kamiya Hiroshi and Fukuyama Jun through YouTube videos.
I became a fan of all these people and it's all thanks to YouTube videos.
When I become a fan, I start to buy their CDs and DVDs. I want to support them fully.
I want to go to their concerts. I want to go to their events. I want to thank them personally.
And it all started because of YouTube.

There is no other way for international fans to find out about them. We don't have access to Japanese TV here. We can't go to their concerts even if we want to. To be able to attend an Arashi or AAA concert, or even go to a voice actor (any voice actor) event is a dream of mine.

It's hard to support someone who keeps closing their doors to you.

If AAA's blog was locked right from the start, maybe I wouldn't have felt so depressed. I would have accepted it.

I'm glad they still have twitter and LINE accounts.
