Canadian Cap and Glove of Deerskin
鹿革の帽子と手袋
i found the street shop in the town visited by chance.
nice deerskin and designed and sewed firmly.
... those are made of canadian deerskin, it's strong, wearable in the rain...
. .. my cap which i have got for 20 years and it's firm, too. thus! ...
(the cap was not damaged and tired at all. no frayed parts, no torn and no stinks)
he visited japan with his japanese wife, and is leaving to canada in the next week.
... all made of natural material. all caps and gloves, i made by myself. skins are
canadian deer. strings are ... i can not say it in japanese... natural material...
"綿-men?"(jap.) yes! that's right!(jap.) cotton?(en.) yes it's cotton!(jap.)
(...he speak very natural japanese, so that you might not find out
which of those word were spoken by him or by me)
... it can change shape unfolding this and more became more warm...
i had not took a picture of him but another man were there.
we talked each other that how nice they were.
he left with a set of cap and glove, i got a cap and kept shopping for gifts.
elder nice guy came then.
... those are nice and if you got those in a department store, it will cost more than
twenty thru thirty thousand yen!...
(those description is from the word of glove and cap's young man, i secretly thought.
he is such nice seller.)
he got a cap and left.
and then i talked some more with the seller, got a glove and one more cap for myself.
on the next weekend i visited the town again but could not find the shop.
if there were some discount i wanted to get some for gifts.
he's gone.
ふらりと訪れた街で見かけました。手に取ってみるとすごくしっかり。
気さくなカナダ人のおじさんが日本語で話しかけてくれます。
・・・これは、カナダの鹿、雨にもつよい。僕の帽子はうん十年つかって、ほら・・・
（新品とまったく変わりない手触り、においもありません。）
日本人の奥さんと実家に来ていて、来週にはカナダに帰ってしまうそう。
・・・全部天然素材。これぜんぶ僕が作った。革は鹿。糸は・・・日本語判らない、自然のもの。
綿？ yeah! cotton? そう、コットン・・・
（日本語達者で、どっちが僕の言葉かわかりませんねー。）
・・・こうすると耳当てあたたかい・・・
写真にはありませんが、先客１名、なんとなくお互い言葉を交わしながら
彼は帽子と手袋を、僕は帽子を買いました。まだ少し見たいなと、見ていたら、
次は、年配のおやじさん。ここでも脇から意気投合、いいですよねー。
・・・これ、デパートだと２万円とか3万円・・・
（え、それってさっきの若者が言ってたことじゃん・・。おじさん、商売上手！）
僕は僕で、ちょっと派手目な帽子をお客さんのほうのおやじさんに手渡してみたり。
（ちょっと派手過ぎました）おやじさんもお買い上げ。
偶然僕が２つめとしてキープしていた帽子と同じデザイン色違い。
その後、手袋と、おやじさんとおそろの帽子を一つ、追加で買いました。
週末、また同じ街を訪れたのですがもういなかった。買えなかった贈り物用として、
ちょっとセール的なものも期待しながら。
カナダで元気にしてるかなー。
一枚目の写真、サングラスはずします。なんだか恥ずかしいので写真は小さく。
