a few days ago i found a mantis praying on the post in front of the home.
any Japanese names of mantis do not have meaning of praying
i mean we do not feel he is praying, thougn,
in the middle of autumn, he stand quietly and seemed to be praying something
蟷螂（カマキリ）、英語で、praying（祈る） mantisだそうです。
漢字の表記も、螳螂、蟷螂、鎌切と、いろいろ。
たくさんの漢字表現があるのは、外見のインパクトが大きいからかな？
９月下旬、家に帰ってくると、郵便受けの上で、こんなふうにお祈りしてました。
