this would be 'leersia' , not rice grass
「えぞのさやぬかぐさ」かと思われます。

なんとなく、「似て非なるもの」って言葉を思い出しました。
ところが、こちら、調べてみるとびっくり！！
どうやら語源は孟子の言葉。孟子は、稲に似たべつの草を例にこの言葉を使ったようです。
いやいや、勉強になりました。

うんうん。なぜか納得する今日このごろです。電車など乗っていても、喧嘩してたり人にからん
でいたりするのは、ネクタイしめた人たち・・・。そんなこと感じませんか？
