Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

--- so strong that I wanna take you out of my memory ---

either strongly in love or in hatred. Or, maybe strongly in hatred because you're strongly in LOVE.

Then you wish "if I could take him/her out of my memory...."

Dr. Howard does that. And so does he have complicated past. (and that is one of my favourite part of the film)

It ain't bright film. No, I wouldn't say that. And I usually am not into that kind of movie too much.

But somehow, I loved this constant dark feeling this film has got. I don't know, it was addictive. Probably this is one of the first movie which made me feel like "I wanna watch it again" in 3 days. OK, you've watched the great movie, you wanna watch it again. But not next day. Months or even years later maybe. But this film does that.

One of my favourite scene is when Joel, who is the main character of this film, is praying "no...pleeease let me keep this memory..." (he doesn't wanna wash away this memory....only this.... Well actually, I personally think he didn't wanna wash away anything whatsoever in the first place.)

Another one is when Mary quotes. I've checked it, then it turned out that it wasby English poet, Alexander Pope. Brilliant English people :-)

初の映画紹介。最初は私の一番のお気に入り映画。

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

多分、日本ではあまりメジャーではないですね…

日本語版はあるのかどうか調べてみると、ありました。「エターナル・サンシャイン」というタイトルで。

タイトルをいじらなかった翻訳者の方、素晴らしいです。ありがとう。

では、日本語版を。



― 気持ちが強すぎて、記憶から消し去ってしまいたい ―

好きすぎる。嫌いすぎる。好きすぎて嫌い。

そして思う。「あの人が記憶からすっぽりいなくなってくれれば…」

そんな過去の記憶を消すなんてことを可能にしてくれるのがDr. Howard。しかし、彼もまた複雑な過去を持っていた… （その部分も好きだったりします）

個人的に暗い映画はあまり好きじゃないいし、決して「ハッピーな」映画ではないけれど。

何故だか吸い込まれた映画。

見終わった瞬間、もう一回観たいと思った映画。

いくら素敵な映画でも、「また数か月後に見たいなー」っては思うけど、見終わった瞬間「もう一回！」というのはそれまで経験したことがない。

でも、この映画は本当にそうだった。

すごく、惹きつけられるアーティスティックな魅力のある映画だった。

中でも私のお気に入りシーンは…

主人公Joelが、記憶を消し去られる中でそれぞれの記憶がもう一度再現されていくプロセスの中で、"no...pleeease let me keep this memory..." (この記憶だけは…) って願うシーン。（今見たら、日本語版予告編にもありました）あぁ

それから、Maryが名言の引用をするシーン。

Kooples

先に英語で書いてたら時間がなくなった…ので、今日は英語のみの記事です。ご了承願います。w

I really really really need to be organised and consistent right now. There are many things ahead of me, but it cannot be an excuse.

They are what I've decided, and I just have to find out a way to make everything work. I will do it. I will. I'm tired of myself complaining or being lazy!!

When I visited Paris and London, my expectation for fashion and style there was pretty high. And I would say it did satisfy my expectation...in terms of what people were actually wearing. But it was quite hard to discover good shops existing.

Paul Smith was nice, yes. But we can find it anywhere and I knew that it was awesome already. I wanted to find something new.

Then I found one!

The brand name is "Kooples", it a French label which is getting more and more popular lately. I just love their "formal-on-the-street" kind of style. My French boyfriend introduced me this brand. (Again. So many things are from him lately, but I guess that's the evidence that we're close ;-) The name "Kooples" is sort of "a play on words" of "couples".

As it explains, there are both male and female clothes and you'll see some couples wearing Kooples' clothes. There's no shop in Japan so far, so I really hope I'll buy one of their clothes one day when I'll be in Europe.
