these days, we hear work-life balance often.
work-hard does not mean spending lots of time.
play-hard may mean spending lots of time.
TV news have shown several suicide tragedies of too much overtime hours.
unfortunately, a few companies' culture force it.
and, i guess, japanese working style and/or common practicies are not efficient.
japanese productivity per person-hour is very lower than european's one.
among asians, not siginificant, but still lower than others.
i guess, japanese still see speriority on work hours rather than performances/results.
it never makes sense to me.
the same age never makes the same work outcome.
equality is important, but it does not mean the same age, the same income.
then, why does japanese keep overtime money rule?
this bad habit (my opinion) encourages inefficient job time management.
dark side of japanese culture.
