i think 大姐 should be translated into auntie? although roughly it is big sister but the senario is more like older auntie that sells food on the side of the road hahaha

In China, If you are in 20, you can call women of 30-40 大姐 (big/older sister) , women of 40-60 is 阿姨(Auntie). "big sister" is older than you but you are apparently the same generation. Those girls are definitely not Auntie but they are mad "do i look older than that man?"
