目指せTOEFLハイスコア!英語力向上のためのよっしのぶろぐ

急遽英語が必要となった純ドメな私の奮闘記。

英語で書きます。間違いがあったら指摘してね。

This blog is for improving my English skilis,in particular, writing one.

Please point out my grammatical or vocabulary mistakes on those sentences!

I think to myself that English has many vocabularies in the same meaning.

For example,

非難する(若干のニュアンスの違いはご勘弁を)

critiicize, deplore, blame, reproach, accuse, censure, denounce, condemn, review, rebuke, decry

酷評する

pan, slate, rail, vituperate, slam, lambaste

従順な

obedient, tractable. submissive, amenable, compliant

Do people speaking English always want to criticize and sometimes rail at an obedient someone?

Vocabularies having a significant secondary meaning.

carp(広島ではない):文句を言う

betray:(真実などを)あばく

grill:尋問する

flag:ゆるむ

wax:(月が)満ちる⇔wane

color:脚色する

table:棚上げする

defect:逃亡する

milk:搾り取る

lemon:不良品

waffle:言葉を濁す

日本の首相、誰がいい? ブログネタ:日本の首相、誰がいい? 参加中

Some people may choose the present politician as the prime minister of Japan.
Yesterday, the Democratic Party of Japan(DPJ) won the election of Tokyo metropolitan
assembly. Considering this result, next general election will be soon taken place and DPJ
may get the majority of Lower House and be able to choose the prime minister, which
means Mr.Yukio Hatoyama will be chosen as the prime minister of Japan, the first one from DPJ.

To be honest, the basic policy of DPJ and, impudent as I am, Mr.Yukio Hatoyama as the prime
minister is not attractive for me(However I definetely think that his younger brother Mr.Kunio
Hatoyama is the worst as that one since he has too many problems, such as this statement
and that statement . He will strongly want to brag about his intelligence and his own big name).
Because, parhaps, his smart look and attitudes make me feel feeble.

On the other hand, I feel like watching what would happen in Japan if DPJ was in political power.
In the past, we experienced short-term regime change, Hosokawa era, but almost all the Japanese
have never experienced genuine regime change like U.S presidency. As you know, U.S president
Barack Obama, democrats, faces bold challenges for car manufacturing industries, insurance
industries and so on. They might not be performed under the repubulican rule. In this sense,
genuine regime change in Japan may be necessary because many people including me hope to
change something. We may notice that the dramatic political changes can't occur under the rule
of Liberal Democratic Party(LDP).

Now Mr.Yukio Hatoyama has a problem about the donation. But if this problem is not serious,
he should be the prime minister and change something gloomy covering Japan. Also in Japan,
the key word must be "change" as Obama says.
