Air Jordan IV Doernbecher
Each year since the Doernbecher Freestyle program kicked off, we been treated to an Air Jordan Retro offering in the yearly batch of releases. People have now been speculating for a while that this time around, it would be the Air Jordan IV to receive the Doernbecher treatment, and sure enough, here we have our first look. The DB edition of the Air Jordan IV takes the shoe to places it never been with a bold black/royal/bright green color scheme further stylized by some graphic patterns and http://airamricaol1.eklablog.com/ illustrations, as well as a Superman logo on the tongues. Expect info on the artist and specific inspirations coming soon, but for now, take a look at a nice gallery of pics after the jump and let us know what you think. via Air-Randy
You guys have to remember a kid designed this, they have some of the craziest and creative imaginations, and this is the outcome, you guys may not like it, and if you dont, just STFU!! I have to admit, i dont like these, and too much is going on, but nothing but mad props to the kid who designed this, he went all out, and he got some major balls for making a shoe like this for a sneaker community that is MOSTLY filled ignorant people. Nothing but mad props to that kid, for those of you bagging on him and talking about how they can do better, the kids got more balls then you ever will. IMO these should be released in GS sizes, since most people are gonna pass on these this time around. Like i said, props, and if you dont like them, least you can do is show some support for the sick kid.
I mean I look at these and what comes to mind is a IV blacked out and then all the colors are kinda supposed to represent a Super Man comic battle ya know??? Like the superman logo and blue trim representing superman and then the green and yellow kinda supposed to represent like Lex Luther and the Kryptonite ya see what Im sayin? I kinda wish Nike would do like a little 2 minute video interview with the kids that do the designing each year so we can hear what went into their thought process when they were designing their version.
All the people commenting saying that these shoes are wack, or ugly, or that JB shouldn't have let the kid design them are ignorant, classless and selfish. Some people complain about everything JB does or doesn't do anyway, and you can't just shut up and be content about a shoe that's purpose is to be sold for a charity?? The proceeds are for kids http://rogendeling.jimdo.com/ with life threatening diseases, and one lucky kid gets picked to design a shoe, ONCE a year, and yall are complaining about it??? Grow the hell up and stop thinking about yourselves for a second. I'm sure these kids go through way more that most of us and deal with things they shouldn't have to. If you don't like the shoe don't buy it. If you do, you're money is going to a great foundation. People are complaining as if FOUR retro colorways of the IV's aren't releasing next year. Chill out.
