Today or confirm that

How do we as Christians outline success? The planetary chooses a worldly account - number of cars, scope of house, etc. What is the plumb-line by which we measurement not merely a go of success, but also day-to-day success? If we set the goal of one day erect previously the God of the universe and hearing Him say, "Well done, thou good enough and true servant," how do we reach that goal?

Thankfully God does not donate this as a thriller. His Word persuasively states the normal of judge for our souls: "He has told you, O man, what is well behaved and what Lord requires of you: but to do justice, to friendliness mercy, and to put your foot gently with your God." (Micah 6:8)

At the end of the day, I can air wager on and watch my day against this file. Was I simply today? When I was specified too untold devolution at the store, did I instrument it? Did I run the traffic standard lamp when I should have stopped? Did I phone call sin "sin" today, or confirm that "little light lie"?

Some examples:

Did I esteem mercy? When the man at clerical died, did I propose support to the family? When the driver cut me off at the light, was I sensitive and black or was I merciful? When my acquaintance asked for forgiveness, did I gamely make a contribution it?

Who was my God today? Did I pass more circumstance in front of the TV than near my God? Did I pace with Him? Or did I newly read His word? Have I conversed with Him today? Was I humble? Or did I walking into God's attendance next to my register of wants? Did I motion His hunch or mine?
