Diana repeated the "oath" with a laugh fore and aft.
Then she said:
"You're a queer girl, Anne. I heard before that you
were queer. But I believe I'm going to like you real well."
When Marilla and Anne went home Diana went with them
as for as the log bridge. The two little girls walked
with their arms about each other. At the brook they
parted with many promises to spend the next afternoon
together.
"Well, did you find Diana a kindred spirit?" asked
Marilla as they went up through the garden of Green Gables.

as for as = as far asの間違いか？

part:分かれる,別れる
kindred spirit:気の合う人
ダイアナは笑ってから「誓いの言葉」を繰り返し、そのあと

たのよ。でも、本当に好きになりそうよ」
マリラとアンが帰るとき、ダイアナは丸木橋までついてきた。
二人の少女は腕を組んで歩き、小川までやってくると、明日
の昼に一緒に遊ぶことを何度も約束して別れた。
「どう、ダイアナとは気が合いそうかい？」グリーンゲーブル
の庭まできたとき、マリラは尋ねた。
