"I don't know what 'squadrons' means nor 'Midian,'
either, but it sounds SO tragical. I can hardly wait
until next Sunday to recite it. I'll practice it all
the week. After Sunday school I asked Miss Rogerson--
because Mrs. Lynde was too far away--to show me your
pew. I sat just as still as I could and the text was
Revelations, third chapter, second and third verses.

「『戦隊』とか『ミディアン』とか何のことが分からない
けど、とっても悲劇的に聞こえるわ。来週それを暗唱する
のが待ちきれないほどよ。一週間ずっと練習するつもり。
日曜学校が終わったら、リンドさんが遠くにいたのでロジャー
ソン先生に、カスバート家の信者席がどこか教えてもらい
ました。出きる限りじっと座っていました。テキストはヨ
ハネの黙示録第3章の2節と3節。
