observer might have seen that the chin was very
pointed and pronounced; that the big eyes were
full of spirit and vivacity; that the mouth
was sweet-lipped and expressive; that the
forehead was broad and full;

ここまでは誰でも気がつくが、もしも注意深い人であ
れば、あごは目立つほどとんがっていることがわかる
だろう。大きな目はあり余るほどの活力に満ち、可愛
らしい唇をもつその口は表情豊かだし、額は広く豊で
あることがわかる。
