from Nova Scotia for me." The stationmaster whistled.

「待ってるのは女の子じゃないんだが」とマシューは
訳がわからずに返事をした。「男の子を引き取りに来
たんだよ。ここに来ているはずなんだが。アレクサン
ダー・スペンサーさんがノヴァ・スコティアから連れ
てくることになっていたんだ」 駅長は口笛をヒュっ
と鳴らした。
