"It just felt logical to try to grow the business," said Anderson said. "The mall has been after us for a year, asking us if we wanted to come down."Anderson's cooking hobby led him to buy the cooking store."I have been a self-employed entrepreneur for my entire working life," he said. "I started out in automotive, doing repair work for 25 years. But I've always been into food; it's been my hobby for a long time. The gourmet stuff is fun for me."He added that the store isn't trying to compete price-wise with some of the big-box stores."But we've got really good products at reasonable prices," Anderson said. "We want to give you a product that will last, and many of our cookware items get handed down generation to generation."

making it hard for customers to find.The new Love To Cook store's entrance is inside the mall near the Sears store."The rent is expensive, but it offers some things you can't get on a stand-alone," said Anderson. "I'm hoping that people coming shopping or to the movies will come by to see us. We're dependent on mall traffic, but we're a big enough niche that we can get people coming into the mall just for us as a destination."
"There's a huge interest in food right now, with the Food Network shows," said Anderson. "In fact, we set up our kitchen demonstration area with side-by-side cooking spaces that could be used for cooking competitions.
