When Jackie was pregnant with Curren,They wanted to implicate the writer of this arti she struggled to find the right name.A friend named her child after a book series she enjoyed and suggested Jackie consider the same.So the name Curren found a spot at the bottom of the list, but Jackie said "nothing is saying this has to be his name".With just a couple weeks left before Curren entered the world, Jackie sat down with a baby name book and flipped through the pages to look up the meaning of each name on her list.One by one she checked them off with nothing jumping out.Then she got to Curren. The meaning: Hero."I thought this is it," Jackie said. "Now looking back, that is kind of what he is."By sharing Curren's story Jackie hopes it will help save the lives of other children and bring awareness to safety in the home.

Eighty four percent of the deaths were children under age nine.The"mission estimates that more than 43,000 consumers are injured each year in tip-over incidents.Going forward, Jackie said she wants to create a foundation in Curren's name. In her blog she urged parents to "bolt everything down. Dressers, bookshelves, TV's, anything that could possibly fall.""I just want to get the word out and every parent to say we need to do that," Jackie said.
