As a solo artist, she has released the acclaimed albums All Rise and Dearest Everybody — and she is one half of The Bird And The Bee, her long-running collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Greg Kurstin. She is also a member of The Living Sisters alongside Eleni Mandell, Becky Stark and Alex Lilly. Across these projects, her voice has been celebrated for its clarity, nuance, and emotional precision.
Inara’s connection to Littell stretches back to childhood. She first met him at age seven at the Theatricum Botanicum, where her family was deeply woven into the theater’s creative community. Years later, Philip introduced her to his writing partner Douglass, and together they enlisted her as an actor in one of their original plays within L.A.’s underground theater scene of the early 1990s. Littell has been recognized for his work as a librettist, penning lyrics for celebrated operas such as A Streetcar Named Desire and Girl With A Pearl Earring. His words explore the meeting point between vulnerability and wit, revealing the human heart in all its contradictions. Douglass is also a gifted composer and musician known for his adventurous harmonic sense and deep emotional resonance.
