Part psychedelic trip, part downtempo soulfest, part cool jazz jam session, part art-rock meditation and part narrative concept album, the fully immersive, wholly transcendent sophomore release from the U.K.’s multi-talented, multi-tasking multi-instrumentalist is a free-flowing, shape-shifting score to a movie that only exists in your hopes and dreams. Produced over the course of a year in a Caversham garden shed, Muffled Ears… was written in three distinct shifts: One third while landscaping, one third behind a bar, and one third in an office chair. It is a document of work, money and the static of modern information overload.
