The journey began with the first single Weird World Awoke, another ferocious blast of inimitable rock ’n’ roll, with a topical lyrical rollercoaster that manages to keep pace with the relentless tempo and guitar slaloms. “It’s all getting a bit strange, ain’t it?” McEwan offers. “Or are we just older now and it’s always been like this? For those who need an introduction, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are a psych-rock band formed in 2014. The band consists of singer-guitarist McEwan, guitarist Luke Parish, drummer Danny Caddy, bassist Wayan Biliondana and keyboardist Chris Young. Their music is a drug-induced grunge rock trip: Biting synthesizer parts, expertly composed guitar riffs, and unique compositional elements elevate their music to the status of other popular psychedelia artists such as Tame Impala and All Them Witches. Their sound is vast and trippy, and even better: It’s a trip you’ll want to take repeatedly.”
