BIOGRAPHY:

Silvia Conti was born in Florence. She began singing and playing the guitar at the age of 12 in various Florentine musical groups. In 1983 she won the Castrocaro Festival with the song Hey boy. In 1984 the artist was included in the list of singers of the Sanremo Festival but, on the eve of the event, the song Favola Sad was already performed live by Fiordaliso and was therefore disqualified. A few months later she is competing in the Un Disco Per L'Estate festival in Saint Vincent with the same song. She participates in numerous television programs such as Discoring, L'Orechiocchio, Domenica In, Tandem. The following year, 1985, she participates for the first time in the Sanremo Festival, strongly supported by Gianni Ravera, performing with the song Luna nuova written specifically for her by Aldo Tagliapietra de Le Orme, a song that did not pass the preliminary round but achieved good critical and public success and is still his most famous song today. Since the 90s you have collaborated on various musical projects and with artists such as Le Orme, Bandabardò, Tiziano Mazzoni, Whiskey Trail. In 1992 she was a guest at Aldo Tagliapietra's concert “Radio Londra”, in which she sang La Mia Corsa. The first piece of which she is entirely the author, lyrics and music, dates back to 1997, Rino, dedicated to the deceased singer-songwriter Rino Gaetano, and she recorded it with the collaboration of the Whiskey Trail, a very successful Irish music group. In 1998 she made her theater debut with a very small part in The Inspector General. In 1999 with Andrea Bassato, keyboardist of Le Orme, she worked on the Controcanto group project, recording three prog pieces of which she was the author together with Bassato himself: Notte di hunting, Leggerezza (per me) and Il volo. In 2005 she recorded the cover of Il Mare D'Inverno which was included in the compilation La Voce della Solidarity. In 2006 she was a guest on Tiziano Mazzoni's debut album, “Zaccaria per terra”, where she sang the song Donna. Also in that year she began to do theater seriously, graduating from the Catalyst theater school a few years later and working with various companies and various directors. In 2007 she recorded two new songs, Il Sagittario (of which she is the author) and Mi dormi, a ballad by the musician Roberto Mangione. In 2008 you worked on the theater show Comparse. In 2010 she was again a guest on Tiziano Mazzoni's second album, Goccia adrop, in which she sang the song that gives the album its title. Also in 2010 she is on stage with her L'Agamennone. In the same year she founded the group Sunflowers together with her partner Roberto "Bob" Mangione and the percussionist Giovanni Vaccari, a group that ranges between songs by the same artist and beat, rock, combat-folk and psychedelic songs. In 2011 she is again in the theater with her: Bar Sport by Stefano Benni, a show that will also be repeated the following year; Cafè Santiago de Cuba, a comedy that will have repeats for the following two years and finally Party Time, a drama by Harold Pinter, also repeated in 2012. In 2012 he continues to work in the theater with three very different new productions: Landings, a sort of journey in the senses for spectators; Italy is served, a sharp comedy about today's Italy and Listen, an adaptation of the Katzelmacher text by R.W. Fassbinde. In 2013 he worked on the theatrical text Gli Spaventapasseri Sposi, a text which he will repeat again in 2014. Again in 2013 together with a very large group of Florentine friends/artists (Edoardo Semmola, Letizia Fuochi, Riccardo Ventrella, Massimiliano Larocca, Frank Cusumano, Gianfilippo Boni, Andrea Laschi ) brings to the stage Dialoghi con il Signor G, a Teatro Canzone show about and for Giorgio Gaber which is sold out everywhere: repeated several times in 2014, it will see further performances until 2022. In 2014 it is on stage with the singer-songwriter's show Tuscan Letizia Fuochi: Tina Allori – The beautiful voice of the radio. He also collaborates with Tuscan underground groups and is currently part of the collective of Florentine musicians La Scena Muta with whom he recorded two songs: Firenze-Copenhagen (2012) and Estate fiorentina, the official soundtrack of the Florentine summer 2014. In the same year and with the same collective he is part of La Nuova Pippolese, a revival of the historic Florentine orchestra of pippolo instruments, i.e. plectrum instruments, a project still operating mainly in the Tuscan territory. In 2015 he returned to the theater with The Jail - he who is free inside is free everywhere together with the actor, mime and friend Luigi Gray Benassai. In 2016 he was a guest on Marco Cantini's album We are those who were waiting for and the following year on Tiziano Mazzoni's Ferro e Carbone. In 2017, Barefoot (Psychedelic Hypnotic Nudity) was released. In 2018 he was a guest on Marco Cantini's album La fever incendiaria. In 2020 the single L'crossing the devil was released, which paved the way for the new album scheduled for the same year and blocked by the pandemic. In 2021 the single Il filo d'argento (per Enrico) dedicated to the disappearance of Erriquez from Bandabardò was released. In 2022 he was a guest on Ance's album Ergonomia domestica. In 2023 he was a guest on Marco Cantini's new album Zero Multiplica Tutto and in December of the same year the single Lucciola was released, anticipating the new album Ho un piano B scheduled for January 8, 2024.
