I like walking, so sometimes I walk one or 2 stations after work.

I planned to walk to O-temachi yesterday, but wasnt sure the direction from my office. I thought I could get there easily because it was only one station away, so I didnt look up on a map.

It was just fine for a while. I got to an entrance of O-temachi subway station, but I wanted to go to the other side of the station, then I found a landmark, very tall, new building. I thought it was Marubiru, so I started walking toward it.

After a while, I thought I walked too long just to get to the other side, but just went on. Then I found myself at Mitsukoshi-mae station.

?????

Where did I come?

It was so strange, but I, anyhow, walked toward the landmark.

When I got there, I found out it was Mandarin oriental hotel in Nihonbashi.

Oops.......

I know I dont have any sense of direction, but is that this bad?!

Because I walked so long, I wanted to get some kind of reward for myself. I went on again.

Then I got to COREDO Nishonbashi .

I have been there before. I went in and went to SERENDIPITY. I'm now chocoholic, so I bought an expensive chocolate and rasberry-honey jam.

I knew this building was connected to Toei Asakusa line, so I went down stairs.

On the way to B1 floor, there is a very cute eye-glass shop on 2 floor. I wanted to buy glasses, but too hungry to stay there any longer, so I went straight to B1.

BUT there was another very attractive shop, which is Maisonkayser!

I really like bread here, so I bought some.

When I was on a train, I was staaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrving. The bread smelled so good. It was torture......

Tokyo is a very concentrated city. You can go anywhere on foot.

It was actually a fun little adventure.

I handed in my letter of resignition to my boss today.

It was just...... done.

If you think of TV dramas or something, it usually has "辞表" or "退職届" on an envelop and is handed to a boss so dramatically, but in my case, it was just a piece of paper and I handed in to my boss. No drama.

To think back about my time here, I really enjoyed working with my co-workers. My bosses and co-workers are so nice. My job is satisfying. The salary is not bad. If I were not going to the States to be with my BF, I wouldnt quit my job. But I have chosen my BF over my job, of course!

I love him very very much more than my job.

I finally renewed my driver's license today!

BUT there was one problem again.

I got to Futamatagawa 5 after 11am. When I went to Samezu , the reception was open till 11:30, so I thought I made it in time today.

Then when I saw an information on an electric board, it said the reception was open till 11:00, then they would open again at 13:00........

WHAT?!

Do I have to kill time there for 2 hours?! There's nothing around this area!

Shoot........

Luckily, I had a book, so I read it. Also I called my BF to talk.

He said he worked today, too(Saturday over there.....), at LA warehouse. Then he was on the way to see his best friend who visited LA now.

I took a lecture about for a half an hour, then went back to the station. I was so hungry.....

After lunch, I went to Yokohama. I was originally planning to go to Tokyo, but it took too long to renew my driver's license, so I just wandered around in Yokohama.

Anyway, it is done now!

I went for a drive to Kamakura today. It was such nice weather.

The purpose of this drive was to go to a bakery in Kamakura, called "Kibiya". This website says "Takaraya", but the name has been changed, so now the name is "Kibiya".

They use only home-made, natural yeast. Also they use no additives. Very natural, healthy bread.

This shop is located on Onari-dori near Kamakura station, but kida hard to find because you have to go into a very narrow path. I actually once passed it and went back again! The shop is so small. If there is 5 people, it will be full.

I bought a chocolate bread, fig bread, walnut bread, raisin bread and campagne.

Kibiya1 Kibiya2

There is no chocolate bead in the picture because I already had it

It tasted really good. The texture is so firm and dense. The bread itself has some kind of flavor. Probably it is rye.

If you go to Kamakura, give it a try!

I'm really concerned about my BF now. He works too hard.

I used to work till midnight almost everyday and worked on weekends, too. But I knew I had to do so only for a limited period, so I could bear it.

But now he works too hard. Sometimes a tele-conference makes him go to the office very early in the morning. It was only "sometimes" till the day before yesterday.

He said his boss asked him to work from 6am to 3pm. He said it was OK as long as he could leave at 3pm sharp. I really agreed to it. He said he didnt accept the offer.

But yesterday, he said he would have to work till 6am next day. I asked him he has to do so everyday, then he said yes......

I was so surprised that he had accepted it, but he said he kinda had to. It is obvious that he wont leave work at 3pm sharp though.

He also works on weekends... not full-time, but several hours.

Also, here's a thing.

A sales person in Dallas, whom he deals with, told his private cell phone number, without his permission, to their customer and said feel free to call him anytime they needed!!!!!

His co-worker knew about it, then made a very strong objection against this to the sales person.

She said it was neccessary for him to have his own time, and this sales person has no right to tell his phone number without his permission.

I'm so glad that he is coming to Japan. He told his boss and co-workers that there is no internet access at my hom because I live in the middle of nowhere......(it is a lie, of course!) Also, I dont have a cell phone, so they cant reach me( a lie, again!)

I really hope his absence from work will be a lesson to them, that if they dont give him some time off constantly, then he will take looooooong vacation from work to make it up!!!!!!!

I have been looking for an exfoliater for a while. I wasnt really obsessed with these skin care products, but when I went to Estee Lauder with my mom, they gave me a sample of this .

This worked really well on my skin, but is very expensive here in Japan (half price in the States.....), so I was looking for another exfoliater and found this .

I got the sample. It worked just fine and I really liked my skin texture after using this, but Idealist worked better.

I'm planning to ask my BF to buy Idealist at DFS when he comes here.

Ouch, cosmetics are really expensive....

I talk to my BF almost everyday recently, so when I didnt talk to him, I feel like I missed something.

When we started this long distance relationship, we talked on the internet only, but in order to use MSN messenger, we both needed to be at home. Also because of the time difference, we could talk only on Sundays here in Japan.

Now that I go to the field for Ultimate on Sundays, we cant do that. Also, talking just once a week is not enough. I wanna hear his voice everyday(if possible) even just for 10 min. So even though it is little bit expensive to talk on the phone, we chose it over the internet chat.

I use this phone card. When he left Japan, he gave this to me. I'm quite satisfied with their service.

Honey, I charged it today, so I'll call you tomorrow!

As I said yesterday, I went to renew my driver's license today. I needed to change my address, so I went to Samezu, where the headquater of those offices is located.

I needed to get there by 11:30 if I wanted to take a course before lunch. When I got off a train, I thought I wouldnt make it, so I ran and made it!!

Then, I went to an information to get an application form. The lady asked me

" Did you change your address?"

I said yes and she asked me again where to where. I said I moved from Tokyo to Kanagawa. Then she said

" Oh, you have to go to the headquater of Kanagawa office in Futamatagawa."

WHAT?

When I looked up on the internet, there was no such information. It just said, "Bring this and that to change your address."

Shoot, it's sucks.......

I didnt go to Futamatagawa today because I wanted to go to Ultimate. Gosh, I have to go to Futamatagawa next Sunday. These offices are closed on Saturday. Damn...

Vivienne Westwood

心配で心配で仕事中だったにもかかわらず「Let me know if there's anything I can do for you. You wanna talk?」とメールしたら、「I need to sleep now」と返されてしまった・・・。そりゃそうだよね

今日も向こうの夜中の12時にメールしたらさすがにもう家にいるといっていた。ホッ・・・

あとちょっとで日本に来るけど、大丈夫なのかなぁ。こういうとき離れてるってつらいね

I had a telephone interview with a vice president of some American company in this morning. This company is established by a Japanese-American guy and most employees are Japanese. The vice president is also Japanese, so the interview was in Japanese.

When my agency offered a position of this company, I wasnt really interested in it because this company deals with ticketing of sport events and concerts, not managing seminars and workshops like I deal with right now.

My agency didnt tell me the details of job-description, so I asked him directly. He sounded a really good and kind gentleman.

The available position is a ticketing one, but this is not just selling tickets. The job includes negotiation with other ticket brokers all over the States and some sales, too, so technically from buying to selling, sales to customer service.

I thought this position uses mostly Japanese, but he told me to use mostly English. He said very high level English......

If he likes me, I will have an interview with the president later.

Hummmmmm.......I'll wait and see.
