I know it is one day late here in Japan, but it is Valentine's Day in the States today.

I really wanted to write about what I bought for him, but he sometimes checks this blog, so I couldnt.

Last year, I sent a piece of chocolate of LE CHOCOLAT DE H with something...., but this year, I wanted my present to be delivered on 14. I went to GODIVA.com and bought this with overnight delivery service to deliver it on exactly Valentine's Day.

I traced the delivery information and found out it was delivered already, but he emailed me from work just now, so he still doesnt know he got the chocolates!

When we talked yesterday, I told him that I was sorry not to be able to do anything on Valentine's Day because we were away from each other, so we would celebrate my birthday and Valentine's Day at the same time when he comes to Japan in March, but I was actually planning to surprise him! Hahaha-.

Now I'm so looking forward to hearing from him when he gets home from work!

*****************************************

He called me on the way home and left a message that he wanted to talk to me. I thought he already got home, so that's why he wanted to talk to me about the chocolates. But he was on the way home, so he didnt know yet he got it.

When I called him, he said he just got home and received my chocolates! He was really surprised and thanked me.

He also told me his mom was looking forward to him coming back home because she knew what was in the box from the wrapping paper which had "GODIVA" logo all over. She is so cute.

He got some chocolates from his Japanese co-workers(women, of course), so his meals would be all chocolates! Hahaha-.

I noticed he would leave Japan on 13,March. I mean right before White Day! Shoot!

I like to try new breadshops and bakery. I would like to introduce you where I have tried.

moomin Bakery and Cafe in Suido-bashi, LAQUA

White bread is normal, but danish pastries are very good.

BRASSERIE AUX BACCHANALES in Akasaka Ark hills

I tried various kinds of bread and pastry. Tastes good, but not special. Coffee is really good, though.

garbagnati in Roppongi Hills

I love white bread here! It has very strong flour flavor and the texture is so soft. Pastries are OK.

BURDIGALA in Hiro-o

I havent tried pastries yet, but bread is OK.

PAUL in Futakotamagawa, Takashima-ya

I went here today and bought both bread and pastry. I tried bread today. It was really delicious! I tasted flavor of something. I cant figure out what the flavor comes from. I'm looking forward to tasting the pastry tomorrow morning!

MAYSON KAYSER in Shinjuku, ISETAN

I bought EKMEK, which is a Turkey bread with honey in it. It was awesome! I really liked it.

KIMURAYA in Shinjuku, ISETAN

I had Kokuto-Kuromame-pan(Blacksugar-Blackbeans-Bread). The shop said it was the most popular product in that shop. OH MY GOD! I thanked GOD that I'm Japanese. Super-good!

アムールエーパン in Junbo-cho (no website)

This is not a sophisticated bakery, but pasties are really good. Once you eat them, you feel like you eat something your mom makes. Its taste is like homemade.

HEDIARD in Shinjuku, ISETAN

White bread is good. I havent tried pastries yet.

Try these bread shops and bakery and find your own favorite one!

I went to Yokohama to buy something for my Dad and brother because it is Valentine's day soon. My Dad lives in Chiba by himself for work, but he comes back home every weekends, so I decided to buy something today.

Chocolate is a nomal choice, but I wanted to eat a cake(well....). I wandered in Takashimaya and one sweets shop attracted me. It was DEMEL .

Cakes look very satisfying size. I bought these cakes.

DEMEL Cakes

From left, a chocolate cake, two tortes(I forgot the names...right, down one has a lot of brandied berries) and Sacheftorte.

I had the yellow torte. It was unexpectedly good! It is kind of difficult to find a cake shop which meets my taste, but this shop actually meets my taste, also my family's taste.

Cakes are not too sweet, but sweet enough to satisfy me. My most favorite thing about these cakes are these are not fluffy sponge cakes. These texture is very heavy and firm. It makes your satisfaction higher and higher.

I certainly go to this shop again!

He was planning to come at the end of Feb., but he is coming at the begining of March! I dont care when, though. The important thing is he is really coming!

His time off request is approved by his boss and he already bought tickets. We can spend time together on my birthday!!!

Thanks GOD! You really exist!

I finished reading "Interpreter of Maladies". I usually read a book on a train. Now that I commute for 2 hours on each way, I need something to read on a train. Then, I bought this on Amazon.co.jp.

"Pride and Prejudice"

Pride and Prejudice

Since this is a major motion picture from Focus Features, this is really popular now. But actually this is a classic novel.

I havent started reading yet, so cant say good or bad, I'm really looking forward to reading it because the rate of this book on Amazon is pretty good.

I usually dont watch a movie if I read a book of that story, or vice versa.

I read "Sideways" before and my BF watched the movie. When we talked about the story, we found some differences between the book and the movie. I dont wanna spoil my impression from the book by watching the movie, which has a different story.

So, I wont watch "Pride and Prejudice" in a theatre for sure. I hope the book is better than the movie, though.

You might wonder what it is. It's a pumpkin-flavored madeline. (かぼちゃ+マドレーヌ=“カボレーヌ”)

The shop making and selling this is in Miura, Kanagawa. I dont think this shop is really famous or popular, but if you happen to visit Miura, you should try this. It has really good pumpkin flavor, and its texture is so soft and moist. It is sweet, but very delicate.

I'm sorry that I forgot to take a picture of it.

The shop's name is Haramando(原万堂).

I hope you enjoy it.

My favorite is this!

Aqua Limone

Yes! Sparkling Water!

I like soda, but if it's sweetened, it has too much sugar. But this doesnt contain any sugar, so better for health. Today I bought 1.5 L bottle of sparkling water(not Aqua Limone, though) and drank it all day at work. Hummm. I like it. If you have never tried it, you should give it a try. You will like it.

Oh, by the way, I found very cute candy today. Take a look.

Candy

Isnt this cute?! Each one is wrapped in a plastic pack, which looks like the one being used to pack real strawberries. It tastes good, too.

I really wanted to go to the field to play Ultimate today, but I also really needed to unpack my stuff.....

Unpacking is almost done. My old room has been occupied with a lot of stuff, like my father's cameras, my mother's clothes and so on. There is little space to put my stuff away. I will live here temporarily, but would like to stay comfortably, of course. I think I did a quite good job to put things away in this little space.

I will start 2 hours commuting from tomorrow. I'm so sure that this will drive me crazy....

After I sent off my stuff from my place in Tokyo, I got on a train to go back home. It took about a bit more than 2 hours and it drove me nuts..... My back hurt from sitting too long. Oh, God! Do I have to do this twice a day?! Do I have to wake up before 6?! Do I have to go to bed before midnight?!

Well, it will only be for a month, though. I'll make it. I mean I hope so.....

My boss sitting right next to me left work already, so I can update this blog with feeling so free!

The hotel where my agency offered me a position finally rejected me. They said I'm very qualified for the position, but they dont wanna hire an intern for the position. Hummmm, OK. Let's move on.

Then, the agency says another company is really interested in me, which is a ticket broker. They deal with premium tickets of concerts and sport events.

They aim at Japanese people. All management people is Japanese. I checked their reputation through the internet. It is actually pretty good. When you wanna get very rare, premium tickets, you can ask this agency.

But my interest is to organize and coodinate events and seminars. My agency said this company does it as well, but I didnt find any references to event coodination on the internet.

I told my agency I'm not really interested in that company if they dont deal with event coordination.

Hummmmm..... Things are not going smoothly.
