Today(precisely yesterday), I received the rudest email ever from my agency.
I really can't believe how I have been treated by them.
My anger has exploded....
I got email from the organization which is going to be my VISA sponsor yesterday.
They got my application from my agency and have started to review it.
But the thing is that they said it usually takes 4-6 weeks to review all my documents.......
I really would like to know how and based on what my agency estimated when I can go to the States.
I got my job at the end of March and my agency said I could go to the States at the end of April?!
And the organization said it takes 4-6 weeks just to review it?
What a contradiction.....
************
On the same day I got the email from the organization, my BF called me to tell me the story he got from his Japanese co-worker.
He said his co-worker's friend did the same thing as what I'm doing now.
I was like....the same thing as what??
Here's the story....
His co-worker's friend has just got to the States on J-1 Visa status recently.
She also used an agency, which was really slow and incompetent.....like mine.
She kept pushing her agency so hard and got her Visa 3 months after she got a job......
Honey, are you trying to scare me?
I couldn't help laughing, though.
Yeah, that is exactly what I'm doing.
Well, the interview I had yesterday went reallly well and I got 4 job-offers today.
But these are kind of long term ones, so I dont think I can take any of them unfortunately.
Let's move on next!!!
I made this Panna Cotta with walnut sauce.
Panna Cotta is an Italian word.
"Panna" means "fresh cream" and "Cotta" means "simmer".
This sauce is supposed to be solider, but bit too fluid.
Not good looking.... but my family said this is one of the best ones!
They gave 120 points out of 100! Wow! better than perfect!
Again, I'm going to add another article to "Gourmet" theme.
I really shoud change my blog's category to Gourmet, shouldn't I?
Anyway, Today I and my mom went to this bakery called Cornette
in Hayama.
This shop is open only on Tuesday and Friday because their main business is delivery.
There are many small bakeries in Hayama and usually they are located in very inconvenient places to go.
I printed a map before we left home, but we still got lost......
Finally, we found the bakery.
It was just an ordinary house. It cant be even called "a shop".
Several breads are just put on a wirerack at the door of a little, tiny bakery in front of the house.
That's it.
So we bought 3 kinds of bread.
This croissant is the best, awsome!!
Still in a paper bag...
They were just out of the oven when we bought this.
Me and my mom tried one on the way back to our car.
Oh, my god......!!!!!!
The texture is not like other croissant.
Usually it is like Danish pastry, but this croissant is more like bread and still has short texture.
You can buy their products on-line. Try!
Well, I know what you are thinking....
"You wrote about Emotional Eating
last night and still are talking about sweets?!"
Yeah....... sorry about that.......
Anyway, I went to Yokohama again before the interview for the part-time job.
Then I had lunch at FANCL GARDEN produced by CHAYA MICROBIOTICS .
This might remind you of Starbucks in Kamakura that I talked about a few days ago.
Yes, that is the same company, CHAYA MICROBIOTICS.
I'm not interested in Microbiotics so much. I just happened to visit the same company's cafes.
This is my lunch today. Tofu-hamburg steak plate.
It has a lot and various kinds of vegetables and the rice is whole-grain.
Eating Microbiotic food makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my body.
***********
After the interview, I went to CAFE de la PRESSE in Kan-nai.
I was planning to have lunch here today, but I changed my plan earlier, so I went there for some sweets!
I bought these Macarons!
This box is supposed to contain 10 pieces, but I found it actually had 11 of them!! Lucky!
I shared 4 of them with my mom today.
Chocolate, Vanilla, Black sesami and unidentified one(green color)
Mmmmmmmmm
I like them!
Its taste is so rich and very sweet, but once it goes down to your throat, there is no too much aftertaste that makes you want more.
The cafe's atmosphere is good, too. Very classic and quiet.
You can buy this Macaron at Printemps Ginza , too. The shop name is Au Peche Mignon.
You can have a wedding party here or at the restaurant downstairs owned by the same company, called Alte Liebe
.
If you are planning to have a French style wedding party, check it!
I have been feeling down recently and I know why.
Because my schedule of departure for the States is not fixed yet.
I mean, I even dont know when the interviews for Visa are.
I feel like I'm not going anywhere soon.
The place to live in LA is already reserved and I have started to pay for the rent.
I have no income now. The longer I stay in Japan, the more I waste money.
My frustration has been growing very rapidly. I just cant stand this situation.
Also, I'm very angry at my agency.
They are incompetent....
I really wanna make their name public when all procedure is done so that I can save other people from this suffering.
Well, maybe I expect too much for them to do much much better job.
When I complained to my BF about their incompetence, my BF said he didnt want to deal with me on business because I'm very strict with them.
Maybe.
But that's how things work in business, right?
Anyway, I just cant stop eating now.
It's "Emotional Eating".
When I'm really stressed out, this happens to me.
Everybody asks me "When are you coming to (or leaving for) the States?"
That's what I want to know the most!!!!!!
Just waiting is the most frustrating thing.
If I can do something, it's easy. It's just a matter of my skill and competence.
But now, there's nothing I can do.....
I really wanna change my situation better. So I took action today!
I applied for a part-time job. It is really short term and flexible schedule, so I can work only when I'm available.
I didnt do so before because I thought this is my last time to spend so much time with my family, but now it becomes too much......
Maybe there is no "too much" in this case, but I just need to meet someone else outside of my house.
I'll have the interview tomorrow.
I really hope this will change my situation better and make me feel better.
As I said on the last article, I would like to add this restaurant on Gourmet theme.
After the adventure in Hakone, Me and my mom went to this Italian restaurant for dinner.
Ah, I ate too much.....
Sometimes Italian is too oily.
There is often a lot of olive oil left as you empty the dishes.
But it doesn't happen here and the taste is still surprisingly rich and delicious!
Inside
Grissini as appetizer
Italian salad
The dressing is soooooooooooooo yummy!
Pizza with olives, cheese, onions and soft salami
Pasta with tomato sause and seafood
Ah, too full.....
It is now impossible for me to have even a bite of dessert......
I'll try next time!!
My mom and I made a plan for this one day trip to Hakone at the last minute.
So our plan was like this.
Drive to Hakone → Have delicious lunch there
→ Visit Narukawa Museum
→ Walk around the area
It usually takes about 2 hours to drive there from home, but there was really bad traffic jam around Shonan area. It took about 3 hours today.....
Well, we got to Moto-Hakone around 12:30, then had lunch at 山臥(Sanga).
I found this Soba restaurant on the internet and they serve really good home-made soba.
We both had "Cold Sanga Original Soba with Roasted Duck".
The Soba has really firm body in it, but still very very tender. Hummmm, I liked it.
We moved to Narukawa Museum after lunch.
This museum is exhibiting the paintings of several artists.
Then I found this artist very good.
I'm not really good at Art, but I just like his paintings.
His name is Nobutaka Oka .
Taking pictures is allowed without using a flash, so I took these pictures.
I'm glad if you find them good, too.
There is a cafe in the building. This cafe was introduced by TV show, "Hanamaru Market ".
We had "Macha with Japanese sweets".
Also, I admired very beautiful view from this cafe.
There is a very big window to the ceiling.
This museum is on the slope and very close to Ashino-lake.
Oh, I found very interesting display in the museum.
Check this out.
Do you know what they are?
These are all Japanese colors.
Japanese has its own names of colors from ancient times.
Each bin contains different colored poweder and its Japanese name.
There is this many!
We went down to the lakeside for souvenior shopping and found this Sausage and Ham shop called "腸詰屋".
They let us sample some. Oh, my god! Those are so tasty!
These are what we bought.
The best one is on the right. This is a smoked pork tongue!
When it is a smoked tongue, it usually is a cow's one.
But this is a pork!
There was no seriously bad congestion on the way back.
We passed home and went a little extra far to have dinner at the Italian restaurant called "Shallow Leaf".
I would like to add about this restaurant on Gourmet theme , so I'll write about it later.
We came back home around 19:00.
Well, we had a really good little adventure today!
It was such a nice, sunny day today.
I couldn't miss going out in this good weather, especially going out to Kamakura.
There is a big Starbucks in Onari-cho.
Usually, when people come to Kamakura for cafe-search, they go to cafe vivement dimanche .
But this cafe is too famous now and always filled with bunch of people.
So now this Starbucks is kinda Hot-Spot.
I seated myself at the outside-terrace facing at the garden.
It was nice and cozy, but a little too cold even in this good weather because it is in the shade of a roof.
I stayed there about an hour and my arms were covered with goosebumps.....
Inside
Sorry, not a good picture...
I took this picture kinda sneakily because I didnt want to upset others.
Outside
I didnt try Chaya Macrobiotics food. Looked good, though.
Oh, also I found this website today.
If you would like to know how much calories Starbucks beverages have, take a look.
Well, I will not take any responsibilities if this makes you afraid to go to Starbucks again.

Very very fun!
Check them out!
They are awesome!
Some might think they are very similar to FOB.
Well, no wonder because the front man of FOB is the owner of their label.
I happened to know them on YouTube.com
and thought I cant miss this band.
The vocal's voice is so attractive.
They are all teenagers. It is surprising, too.
Their sound seems more mature and very settled.
I cant just describe how awesome they are!
Just try listening! You will know what I am saying!
