During our stay in Tokyo, we went to this very expensive and famous chocolate store upon my request. I'm a chocoholic.
The shop name is Pierre Marcolini .
I didnt know where this shop was located in Ginza, so we first went to a book store and looked up the map.
The landmark to get there is Mikasa-kaikan. We could get there so easily, but couldnt find the shop.
So we went back to Mikasa-kaikan and asked where the store was.
We had to make a left turn after we passed Mikasa-kaikan, but we made a right turn....
Oops.
Anyway, we got the store and went in.
But when I saw the menu, I noticed there wasnt the one I wanted to have on the menu, so asked a waitress.
She said it was in a chocolate shop, which was the next door.
I got confused for a while, but she said there were two Pierre Marcolini shops next to each other.
One is a chocolate shop and the other one is an icecream shop, then we were in the icecream shop.
We went into the chocolate shop next door. It was crowded even though it was Thursday.
A waitress asked us that there was a table available on a smoking floor.
It really surprised me that there was a smoking floor even though this chocolate shop was a very high class chocolate shop.
You know, chocolate is all about flavor. If there is smoke, it ruins its flavor. I couldnt believe it.
Anyway, the waitress said no one had been smoking, so it might have been ok for us. But she wanst, of course, sure about customers coming later.
It was actually a suprisingly narrow and small shop. It is located at Ginza, no wonder.
I wanted to have Marcolini chocholate parfait for 1680 yen! but it was already sold out......
So I had Marcolini chocolate icecream and he had Chocolate icecream shake.
Oh, my god! It was really expensive but worth it for sure.
You can really taste its rich, wonderful flavor in icecream.
If you are a chocoholic, you HAVE TO go there.
