New Japanese make us see something new.

 

 

Svetlana from Russia, talks about her experience on being naturalized as Japanese.

She has been here for several years as a highly skilled professional. This means she could have jobs in more wealthy countries like the U.S or China with better salary. Alternatively, she could go one of European countries, culturally closer to her native country. Such an elite rejoices to be naturalized citizen of our country. “I want to live long in Japan and contribute a lot to this society” she says.

On the other hand, some Japanese leave this country, saying “Japan is over”. But the country, in the eyes of this new Japanese, is something different from that of old Japanese.
