A Foul Tackle
A case involving a dangerous counterfeit tackle by Nichidai Football Club, during the game with Kansei Gakuin, is criticized every day and everywhere.
Regarding the case, the point everybody angry about is that Director Uchida of Nichidai club, who instructed to the player to cause the offense, gave evasive explanation to avoid criticism over him.
Moreover, despite the fact that the case spread negative influences over the player, Nichidai Football Club and Nihon University, the director hides himself and put more fire on anger of the public.
This situation reminds me of the harassment case on the women wrestling which was exposed this year and took several months to settle. It caused great confusion and distrust among leaders and players. Finally, the case was settled by the resignation of the coach who did harassment but it was very late. The image of the sports declined and the motivation of the players would have been affected. Still, there was no direct explanation from the coach, who was said to have done harassment.
Whether it is sports or business, there is a need for risk management on how to minimize losses and shift to a positive direction in case of something wrong happen.
