Saijo, Hideki passed away
Hideki Saijo, one of the most popular idols of Showa era, passed away by acute heart failure at 23:53 on May 16th, 2018.
He was born in 1955 in Hiroshima-prefecture and started to learn jazz drums as he was a boy. When he was a high school student, he was scouted and moved to Tokyo.
Saijo debuted in 1972 and soon became popular with his powerful singing style. Since then, he had been a top star of Japanese show biz over a decade.
In 2003, while he was in Korea for the stage, he got a stroke which made him stop his show style. Furthermore, he had the stroke again in 2011 and he was suffered with the aftereffect for years. But he kept singing, had been showing the man who never give up for making effort. May he rest in peace.
