There is another noteworthy information on Ortho-K, which sounds helpful for my daughter’s eyesight. In general, myopia progresses rapidly for adolescence in accordance with growth of their bodies. However, Ortho-K helps to retard it by continuous correction of the front surface of eyes, which cannot be expected with ordinal contact lenses.
This point made up my mind to let her try the treatment. Eyesight last one’s lifetime and shortsighted person has to live accompany with it. If she could restore original eyesight without any help from the contact lenses it will be the best but if not, to let the progress retard should be the second best choice.
So finally, I took her to an ophthalmological clinic last month and asked the doctor if orthokeratology is applicable for her. The doctor answered that it depends on eye’s situation but many cases told him it should work on her because young one’s eyes are flexible. He gave my daughter a sample kit and she started the treatment on the day.
Since the day, she started wear the Ortho-K and it seems working fine.
