In the middle of September, the railway company Tokyu Corp. released a provocative advertisement for female passengers to consider “makeup etiquette” in trains. As a male, I would be happy if ladies stop making up in the train, although I know that they need more time than men to be ready before coming up to public place. But it is not the case for females. Many of them gave negative feedbacks to the ad, because it judges the women who make up in the train as “ugly” and the word made them upset. On the contrary, however, the Tokyu has no intention to withdraw the ad, according to its spokesman. He says they received more supportive feedbacks than the negative ones.
