各地で、大雨による災害のニュースが続いています。

被害に遭われた皆さまに、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

私の住んでいる場所でも昨日から大雨が続いており、つい先ほど、ようやく小降りになってきました。

写真は、大雨が降る前の日の景色です。

こんなにも美しく、神秘的な情景を見せてくれるのも、ここにいるからこそ。

自然の摂理に合わせた生き方とは、一体どんなものなのか。
そんなことを、ふと自分に問いかけられているような気がします。

「高橋マコト&フレンズ」のバンドで一緒に演奏しているMIOちゃんが、久しぶりにスタジオへ遊びに来てくれました。

ここ最近毎回見学にいらっしゃるShigenorさんと4人で、パシャリ📸

この日は「ラジオと私」をテーマに盛り上がりました。

FENやオールナイトニッポン、
「決定！全日本歌謡選抜」や、さまざまなコミュニティFMまで。

皆さんそれぞれの「ラジオとの思い出」をたくさん聞かせていただき、とても楽しい時間になりました。

Let’s Get in a Bittersweet Mood

Lately, there have been ongoing news reports of heavy rain and flooding in various parts of Japan.
My thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by these disasters.

The area where I live has also been experiencing heavy rain since yesterday, and only just a little while ago, the rain finally began to ease.

The photo above was taken the day before the heavy rain began.

Nature can show us such beautiful and mysterious scenery precisely because we are here, surrounded by it.

Lately, I find myself wondering what it truly means to live in harmony with the natural rhythms of the world.

A little later than usual, but here is a look back at last week’s Rajibokkuri 📻✨

The 226th episode welcomed my friend MIO-chan, who plays together with me in the band Makoto Takahashi & Friends.
It had been a while since she came to visit us at the studio!

We took a photo together with Shigenor-san, who comes to observe the show regularly. 📸

The theme of the day was “Radio and Me,” and we had a wonderful time talking about our memories of radio.

There were listeners who told us about FEN, All Night Nippon, Kettei! Zen-Nihon Kayō Senbatsu, and various community FM stations they have listened to over the years.

There were also many messages that we weren’t able to introduce during the program, but I made sure to read every one of them afterward.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful messages!

At the end of the program, to mark the end of summer vacation,
I performed Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Sayonara Natsu no Hi” live. 🎶

I had previously uploaded this song on the solaboccuri YouTube channel, but this was my first time trying it on the ukulele!

There are still many things I would like to polish, so I hope to give it another try and perform it even better at the October live show. 🔥

What kind of season was this summer for you?

先日は「マコまこベン」のライブを観に、西荻窪の「Terra Nishiogi Tokyo」へ。

凄腕ギタリストの高橋マコトさん。

弾けるようなドラム捌きが素晴らしい高橋まことさん。

そして、自分にとっての師匠でもある湯川トーベンさん。

スリーピースバンドならではのシンプルさの中に、それぞれのセンスと音がダイレクトに感じられる、なんとも贅沢な時間。

とにかく、素晴らしいのひと言です。

音の厚み、それぞれのソロの演奏やリフのカッコ良さ。

重低音から煌びやかな高音まで、心地良く、そしてドシーンと響く音に、終始魅了されました。

素晴らしい音楽に触れると、自分も頑張ろうというパワーになります。

近日発表となりますが、私もスリーピースバンドで演奏する予定が決まっております。

誕生月の区切りとなるライブです。

たくさんの方に観に来ていただきたいと思っております。

まずは明日の「ラジぼっくり」に向けて、ウクレレ演奏のラストスパート。

The other day, I went to see a live performance by Mako Mako Ben at Terra Nishiogi Tokyo in Nishi-Ogikubo.

First, the incredibly talented guitarist, Makoto Takahashi.

Then, the amazing drummer Makoto Takahashi, whose energetic drumming was truly impressive.

And finally, Toben Yukawa, who is also my mentor in music.

It was such a wonderful experience.

The simple format of a three-piece band allowed me to directly feel each musician’s unique sense of style and sound.

Simply put, it was amazing.

The depth of the sound, the impressive solos, and the cool riffs…

From deep, powerful lows to sparkling highs, the sound resonated beautifully and powerfully throughout the venue. I was captivated from beginning to end.

Experiencing wonderful music gives me the energy to keep working hard on my own music, too.

I’ll make an official announcement soon, but I already have a performance coming up with a three-piece band of my own.

It will be a special live show marking an important turning point in my birthday month.

I hope many people will come and see us.

But first, I’m in the final stretch of practicing my ukulele for tomorrow’s “Radio Bokkurī” broadcast.

27日の大雨による水害、そして海外でも続いている洪水のニュースを受け、
自然災害が続く中で、共に過ごしている日々のことについて、改めて考えさせられています。

被害に遭われた皆さまに、心よりお見舞い申し上げます。
一日も早く、穏やかな日常が戻りますよう、祈っております。

いつ、どこで、自分の役割が回ってくるか分からないからこそ、
その時にできることを、きちんとできるように。
私自身も、日頃から備えておきたいと思います。

そんな中で、ブログも2日ほどお休みしておりましたが、今日は「焼肉の日」。

以前から店内BGMとして楽曲を起用していただいております、
地元・山形を中心に展開されている「週末びっくり市」さんが、Instagramで「solaboccuri」と「やきにくのうた」をタグ付けし、BGMにも「やきにくのうた」を使ってくださいました。

今朝そのことを知り、心が少し、明るくなりました。

ありがとうございます。

こういった、日常の中にある小さな嬉しい出来事や、大きな出来事を、大切にしていきたいなと思います。

The recent flooding caused by the heavy rain on the 27th in Japan, along with the continuing reports of floods in other parts of the world, has made me reflect once again on the everyday lives we share, especially as natural disasters continue to affect so many people.

My heartfelt thoughts go out to everyone affected.
I sincerely pray that peaceful, ordinary days will return to them as soon as possible.

We never know when or where our own role may come.
That is why I want to be prepared in my everyday life, so that when that time comes, I can do what I can.

During this time, I had also taken a two-day break from writing my blog.

But today is “Yakiniku Day” in Japan. 🥩

“Shumatsu Bikkuri-ichi,” a supermarket chain mainly operating in my hometown of Yamagata, has kindly used my music as in-store BGM for some time.

Today, I found out that they had tagged “solaboccuri” and “Yakiniku no Uta” in their Instagram post, and had also used “Yakiniku no Uta” as the BGM.

Finding this out this morning made my heart feel a little brighter.

Thank you so much.

I want to cherish these small and big moments of happiness that exist within our everyday lives.

そばだの、芋煮だの、ちょすラジだのぅ〜

先日のラジぼっくり「ちょすラジ」📻

今回のテーマは「そば」でした。

……が！

前半から、のくてぃさんと私の

「庄内と内陸の芋煮論争」が勃発🤣！

さらには運動会の話まで飛び出して、
「そば」の話にたどり着くまでに、別のお話で盛り上がってしまいました（笑）

いつも和やかに始まるのに、毎回「庄内vs内陸」の話でわちゃわちゃしてしまうこの脱線……

でも、これも生放送ならではの楽しさなのかもしれませんね😊

今回も、たくさんのメッセージをいただきありがとうございました！！

いただいたメールでは、白河のお蕎麦のお話や、おすすめの立ち食い蕎麦、自宅で作るお蕎麦など、いろいろな「そば」にまつわるエピソードを伺うことができました。

同じ「そば」でも、土地によって食べ方や思い出が違う。

山形以外の、いろいろなお蕎麦のお話も沢山伺えて、とっても楽しかったです！

なんだか、いろんなものが
ゆる〜く繋がった一日でした。

The other day on “Chosu Radio,” part of my regular radio program “Raji Bokkuri” 📻

This time, our theme was “soba” — Japanese buckwheat noodles.

……But!

Right from the beginning, a lively debate broke out between Nokuty-san and me:

“The Imoni Stew Debate: Shonai vs. Inland Yamagata!” 🤣

And then somehow, we even ended up talking about school sports days!

Before we could even get to the topic of “soba,” we were already having a great time talking about completely different things.🤭

We always start the show so peacefully, but somehow we end up getting carried away with our “Shonai vs. Inland” discussions every time…

But I guess that’s part of the fun of doing a live radio show. 😊

Thank you so much to everyone who sent us messages this time as well!!

We received all kinds of stories related to “soba” — from soba in Shirakawa, to favorite standing soba shops, to soba made at home.

Even when we’re talking about the same “soba,” the way people enjoy it and the memories associated with it can be so different depending on where they’re from.

I really enjoyed hearing all those wonderful soba stories from places outside Yamagata, too!

Old connections being brought back together,
new encounters,
and unexpected moments that remind me of the connections we share with people.

This time, it all started with “soba,”

then somehow turned into Imoni,
a little happiness from receiving a gift,
memories of an old workplace,
and all kinds of connections from the past and present.

Somehow, all these little things
gently came together into one day.

ばんげのちょすラジは「そば」のお話

週末は、夏バテ気味の身体をリセットしていました。

8月も後半。

まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、自然はしっかりと次の季節に向けて移ろいでいます。

夏の疲れが来るのもちょうど今ごろ。

ここ1週間ほど、なんとなーく「変だな〜」と思っていたところに、どーんと体からおやすみ信号がやってきました。

携帯もしばらく充電期間にして、私も一緒におやすみ。

おかげさまで無事回復しました。

連絡が滞ってしまい、ご迷惑をおかけした皆さま、申し訳ございませんでした。

食事を見直してからは、身体の回復も早くなり顔色もだいぶ変わったらように思います。

とはいえやはり冷えは大敵ですね〜。

もうすっかり元気です。

皆さんもどうぞ身体を大切になさってくださいね。

Over the weekend, I took some time to rest and reset my body, which had been feeling a little worn out from the summer heat.

August is already heading into its latter half.

The days are still very hot, but nature is quietly beginning to shift toward the next season.

I think this is also the time of year when all that summer fatigue finally catches up with us.

For about a week, I had been feeling like something was just… not quite right.

And then, suddenly, my body sent me a very clear message:

“Time to take a break!”

So I put my phone on a little charging break, too, and rested along with it.

Thankfully, I’ve recovered well. 😊

I’m sorry to anyone who may have been inconvenienced because I wasn’t able to respond for a while.

Since making some changes to my diet, I’ve noticed that my body recovers more quickly, and even my complexion seems to have improved.

But I’ve also learned again that getting chilled is definitely not good for me!

I’m feeling completely back to normal now. 🙌

Please take good care of yourselves, too.

Yamagata is famous for having Japan’s highest ramen consumption, but our soba is also something very special.

One of my favorites is Yamagata-style cold meat soba, made with broth from chicken.

The chewy texture of the chicken and the rich flavor of the broth are simply irresistible.

Honestly, I could eat it all year round! 😋

I’m also looking forward to hearing about the soba culture of Shonai, the hometown of Nokuti-san.

そんな本日。

ちょっと胃がへばり気味だったので、
人生の先輩おすすめのカレーを食べに行ってきました🍛

卵がずらり。

見た目からして、なんだか元気が出そうです✨

美味しくいただいて、少し復活。

やっぱり、健康第一。

まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、
夏も後半戦ですね。

A Day for “Nama Curry” 🍛

Apparently, today is “Nama Curry Day.”

……But what exactly is “Nama Curry”? 😂

Today, my stomach was feeling a little worn out,
so I went to have some curry recommended by someone with a little more life experience than me. 🍛

Look at all those eggs!

It already looks like something that could give me a little boost. 😂

It was delicious, and I’m feeling a little better now.

After all, good health comes first.

Summer is entering its second half,
but it’s still hot out there.

記憶が紡ぐ、ラジオの時間

先日の「ラジぼっくり」📻

225回目も無事に終了致しました〜。

今回のテーマは、

「おばあちゃんとの思い出」

スタジオでは、3人それぞれのおばあちゃんやおじいちゃんの思い出話に花を咲かせ、私も8/15のブログにも書いたおばあちゃんのお話をさせて頂きました。

頂いたメッセージでは、おじいちゃんと同じ大正生まれの方のエピソードや、和服姿の似合う優しいおばあさま、芸妓さんをされていたファンキーなおばあさまのお話等々。

色んな家族の形を垣間見れたとても楽しい時間となりました。

それぞれの人の、家族の記憶。

その時の景色や匂い、感覚。

その全てが大切な思い出ですね。

沢山のメッセージ、ありがとうございました！！

「生演奏を楽しみにしています」

「訛りが懐かしい」

そんな嬉しいメッセージもいただき.とても光栄です。

そして、この日はもう一つ嬉しい出来事がありました。

次の番組を担当されるメンバーの方と、私の知り合いが以前からお知り合いだったそうで……

なんと、スタジオで偶然再会！

思いがけない人とのつながりに驚きと嬉しさでなおさらテンション上がりました😊

今回は久しぶりに名古屋さんと2人で生演奏も🎶

誰かと一緒に音を奏でるのはやっぱり楽しいです。

話すこと。
聴くこと。
音を奏でること。

ラジオには、いろんな人とのご縁というものが詰まっているんだなぁと改めて感じました。

そして、もう一つ。

実は「線路は続くよどこまでも」のブログを投稿した翌日、そこに一緒に写っていた従兄弟が、Facebookで地元の市報誌に掲載されたという嬉しいニュースを発見！

久しぶりに連絡でやり取り出来ました。お盆におばあちゃん達が繋げてくれたのかな？とニマニマしております。

ただ今「ラジぼっくり」か「おらだのちょすラジ(ちょすラジ)」への出演オファー中♡

もしかして、夢の共演なるかも…！

ワクワク楽しみです。

こうして考えてみると、

おばあちゃんの思い出を書いたこと。

それを読んでもらったこと。

そこから誰かの記憶が呼び起こされたこと。

そして、思いがけない人とのご縁がまたつながったこと。

全部、どこかで続いているんですね。

音楽も、ラジオも、人との関係も。

線路は続くよ、どこまでも。　

そんなことを、少し感じたラジオの夜でした。🌿🎶

Memories Woven Through Radio Time

My latest episode of “Rajibokkuri” 📻, the 225th episode, has come to a close!

This time, our theme was:

“Memories of Our Grandmothers.”

The three of us shared memories of our grandmothers and grandfathers, and I also talked about my own grandmother, whom I wrote about in my August 15th blog post.

We received many wonderful messages from listeners.

Some shared stories about grandparents from the Taisho era, kind grandmothers who loved traditional Japanese clothing, and even a wonderfully spirited grandmother who had once worked as a geisha.

Each story reminded me that everyone has their own precious family memories—the scenery, smells, and feelings that remain with us.

I was also very happy to receive messages such as:

“I’m looking forward to your live performance!”

and

“Your Yamagata dialect brings back memories.”

Through radio, I get to hear and share in other people’s memories. I’m truly grateful for that.

There was another lovely surprise that day.

Someone I know happened to know one of the members of the next radio program, and they unexpectedly met again at the studio!

I was so surprised and happy to see this connection happen. 😊

I also had the pleasure of performing live with Nagoya-san again after quite a while. 🎶

Talking.
Listening.
Making music together.

Once again, I felt how many wonderful connections radio can create.

And there’s one more thing.

The day after I posted my blog “The Road Keeps Going, Wherever It Leads,” my cousin, who appeared in one of the photos, posted on Facebook that he had been featured in a local municipal newsletter.

I shared his post, and we started talking again after quite some time.

I can’t help wondering…

Maybe our grandmothers were quietly bringing us back together over the Obon holiday. 😊

I’m now inviting him to appear as a guest on either “Rajibokkuri” or “Orada no Chosu Radio.”

Could our dream collaboration actually happen…?

I’m excited to see what happens!

When I think about it all…

I wrote about my grandmother’s memories.
Those words reached someone else.
They brought back memories.
And an unexpected connection was made again.

Maybe everything is connected somehow.

Music, radio, and the relationships we share with one another.

The road keeps going, wherever it leads.

That’s what I felt on that night of radio. 🌿🎶

伸びしろびよよーん

昨日は、原宿クロコダイルさんで開催された「Ukulele Aid & Hot Club Land2」に出演させていただきました🎶

今回はジャンベの他にウクレレでのソロ演奏も久しぶりに実現。

反省すべき点が沢山あって、伸びしろ多きとても充実したひとときとなりました。

お声がけ下さいました竹之内さんはじめ関係者の皆さま、ご一緒した方々、大変お世話になりました。

ありがとうございます！

演奏後は原宿クロコダイルさんの美味しい生ビールとおつまみをもぐもぐしつつ、いつものメンバーと。

音楽を演奏すること。

誰かに聴いてもらうこと。

いろんな人と出会うこと。

そして、そこからまた新しいことに気づくこと。

昨日は、その一つ一つが身体に沁み入るような時間を過ごせました。

また一つずつ経験を重ねながら、もっと自分の音を大切にしていきたいと思います🎶

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of performing at “Ukulele Aid & Hot Club Land 2” at Harajuku Crocodile 🎶

This time, in addition to playing the djembe, I was also able to perform a solo set on the ukulele for the first time in quite a while.

Being able to stand on stage and perform all by myself was something that made me especially happy.

There were certainly many things I need to improve, but it was such a fulfilling experience that reminded me there is still so much room for me to grow.

A huge thank you to Takenouchi-san, who invited me, as well as everyone involved, and everyone I had the pleasure of performing with.

After my performance, I enjoyed some delicious draft beer and snacks at Harajuku Crocodile while chatting with some of my usual friends and fellow musicians. 🍺

Music.

Playing it.

Having someone listen.

Meeting different people.

And discovering something new through all of those experiences.

Yesterday, I felt each and every one of those things deeply.

I want to keep building on these experiences, one step at a time, and continue learning to cherish and understand my own sound even more. 🎶
