Avocado Restaurant Lounge
Diner from Calgary
This is one of the few restaurants I've had time to try out since I've moved to Calgary and I'll admit that I am a little surprised by the terrible reviews. I went in with a friend for a quick lunch, and I found the service just better than average, but then again I came in at a time when there were virtually no other customers. There were a good few options on the menu which sounded appealing, and I was quite happy with what I had ordered. It was flavourful, properly cooked, and presented nicely. The one thing that disappointed me was that they charged me extra for a dipping sauce to go with my fries. If you ask me, that's a pretty cheap move. However, that said, I was overally pleased with my visit (if not totally blown away) and would be willing to try this place again.

I have been going to this restaurant ever since it opened, back then it was delicious, by no means is it authentic but a good American version of Mexican food. I haven't been there in a while and wish I did not waste my money tonight on such a terrible experience. The server was not able to task or manage the 5 tables she had at all. I also did not enjoy her "skirt" that barely covered her butt . and then having to see her butt when she bent over. Beyond the horrible service the atmosphere was not very good, I was in a booth, beside me was a table over crowded with dirty dishes and where I sat was very dirty. I ordered my usual the drunken chicken burrito and sweet potato fries. It was just awful . it tasted like it was frozen and then heated up in a microwave. The mexi dip which I use to love just tasted old and gross. Throughout the whole meal I had an empty glass, I almost went to get my own drink. I definitely will never return.

I rarely write overly negative reviews on restaurants but I did not enjoy my visit here. First of all, I don't understand why this restaurant is named Avocado when only one of the dishes features avocado. I am a huge avocado fan and was totally looking forward to avocado laden dishes. (And because the website is down, I couldn't peruse the menu ahead of time)
When we arrived, we were greeted and seated right away. One of the first things I noticed was the puddle of water right beside our table that I almost slipped on. We were seated at a tiny two person table but the restaurant was not busy and I wish they had put us in one of the booths instead. It's my fault for not asking though. wholesale mlb jerseys china
The menu features Mexican food (they should rename the restaurant to reflect that) and after not finding any dishes with avocado in it, I settled on the chicken quesadilla and added a side of guacamole to my dish for $3.75. Our server was very polite and took our drink and food orders quickly. I was deathly thirsty but he didn't bring our drinks to us until our food had arrived. I noticed he did that with a couple tables also so I'm not sure if it's a restaurant protocol. china cheap mlb jerseys
The meal was. mediocre. It wasn't bad and it wasn't great. I love avocado so I slathered my quesadilla with avocado and it made the dish enjoyable.
I was not overly impressed with the restaurant and likely will not be back anytime soon. mlb jerseys china

One of the worst meal I had. I actually did not eat most of it.
It's mexican fusion food that looks like it came out of a microwave.
Taco shrimp:
It's a wheat wrap folded and toasted with breaded mushy and tasteless shrimps, whilted lettuce and diced mushy tomatoes. Comes with a wasabi "mayo".
The mixed greens:
It's mesclum with some grated cheese. The dressing is this thick white paste. Not sure what it's supposed to be.
