Everything just flew by so fast I didn't even had time to react o(;△;)o TIME! YOU DIDN't EVEN ASK FOR MY PERMISSION TO RUN AWAY DAMN YOU!! ヽ(`Д´)ノ
At least, I took quite a few photos so the rest of this post is going to look like some foreigners' guide to visiting Singapore.
Let's start from Vivocity. This is the ticketing booth for the train ride to Sentosa
Vivocity sky garden. It's actually legal to wade in the pools Σ(゚д゚;)
The other half of skygarden. After this, we set off for Sentosa o(^-^)o
Palawan beach. You can actually cross over to the island but currently it's being repaired.
It's actually really nice to see the sunset here, if you didn't have sand in your shoes
Gay couple shot(joking!) They're really just posing but hey, look at the right guy's waist (`∀´)
We're really conspicuous, huh.
Main guy in white is the otaku. He has this trademark emo pose which he does subconsciously
Two of the Taiwan facilitators. Looks so romantic right? They're not in a relationship by the way
THEY LOOK ALIKE ∑(-x-;)
Songs of the sea performance. This is just the beginning and OH MY GOD I LOVE THEIR EFFECTS
After this we went to the Skyride and Luge but I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy freaking out. Amanda chan fell off her luge haha (*^▽^*)
That's it for Sentosa. The next day was devoted to Pierce Reservoir and Bugis.
Woohoo. Look at the "no fishing" sign | 壁 |д・)
It's a really pretty place but I would suggest that you drag a biology expert along if you really mean to visit the forest
The reservoir. Otaku's eating fried dough sticks on the left ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
Bus on the way there. It's so noisy I can't even sleep properly (-"-;A
Hmm yeah, so. Afterthoughts.
この三日はすっごく楽しかったし、嬉しかった。
Sometimes standing behind people lets you see them better, because during those sometimes, standing in front makes you forget to look at the people behind you.
Maybe that's why I like to stand behind.
A lot of things happened during these 3 days. Things that made me happy, made me sad, made me regret...
Yet I saw a lot of things that cannot be replaced too.
People often say that miracles exist, and they spend their entire lives looking for these miracles. For what? Why are they doing this, when the miracles they yearned for are just next to them without them realising it?
Again, maybe that's why I like to stand behind, because you see things that you'll normally miss.
During the Songs of the Seas performance at Sentosa, I saw everyone's smiles and heard their laughter. And I wondered, what is it that I'm looking at right now?
The answer's simple: magic.
Screw magicians and their funny tricks. They call themselves magicians, but the joy they bring to their audience lasts no more than what time can measure.
Magic can never be forgotten, not by those who felt it, not by those who saw it. At least, that's what I believe.
I may be naive, but at least I am happy. I may be crying, but I'll still say that I'm happy.
...*sigh*
Enough of ranting. I've got one last picture I took at the reservoir. The effects were made by shaking my handphone unintentionally but it looks nice after I blurred and smudged a little.
Not to mention tarnish the colors. Again, it's otaku boy at your service.
The plot's really nice and deep, though a bit repetitive, and the way they analyze how others think is just AWESOME. It sounds a lot better than the drama hehe. ( ̄▽+ ̄*)
The Taiwanese are coming over tomorrow!!! I'm super excited! ヾ( ´ー`)
Umm, yup. That's all. The shortest post I have ever posted (^-^)/
For the first time in my life, I MADE GYOZAS (*゜▽゜ノノ゛☆
It didn't taste half-bad, but I added too much meat and a bit too much salt. Hmm, screw online recipes \(*`∧´)/
Uncooked gyozas! They look so cute ヾ( ´ー`) The dung-like thing in the middle was a result of getting my brother to help out (`×´)
焼き餃子です(‐^▽^‐)
Half the gyozas were fried while the other half had water added to the pan. They taste the same to me so I guess it's really up to you to decide which one you prefer.
This is starting to look like a food journal Σ\( ̄ー ̄;) I had doughnuts for tea. Yay.
Cool right? Cute right? I love the green tea one! (*^▽^*)
I can't believe Gackt is really coming to Singapore. Vann are you sure you got the correct information? I mean, H1N1 here is just as bad as anywhere else (ok, maybe not Indonesia).
ROFL. Can't imagine him eating satay and roti prata
I mean, can you imagine Gackt eating something like this??! In a kopitiam??
...*falls off chair and dies*
Then again, they'll probably lock him up in a hotel or something so, bleahs. Let's hope he gets to drink bandung and eat durian. Hehe.
Anyway, I read a chinese story quite some time ago and nearly cried because of it. Since I'm so bored, I translated it in english for the benefit of people like Vann who is not far from being illiterate in chinese.
It's really good, so here it goes:
《一生只爱你》
Grandmother wore a red veil, tears streamed down her pretty cheeks. She was getting married to a man she'd never met, much less knew. She was only 16.
At the night of the ceremony, grandfather paced the room anxiously. He was well educated, a youth much influenced by both old and new cultures, he was only 14, and he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to love the bride under the red veil. The candle was burning low, grandfather shakily removed the veil with trembling hands. All at once, he was captivated by the kindly face under the veil; grandmother too was deeply moved by his gentle demeanor.
At the night of the ceremony, both of them fell in love at first sight. Grandfather asked, "Do you love me?" Grandmother nodded shyly. "Will you love me forever?" he asked. Grandmother paused and shook her head. Grandfather was a little disappointed.
In order to excape the clutches of the Kuomintang, grandfather had to flee his village hometown in Sichuan to the city of Chongqing. There, he found his freedom and his opportunities. As the saying goes, a chaotic world breeds many heroes. From coal mining to refining, from a small transport company to a huge gas enterprise, grandfather's business grew as the days went by.
Though he was caught in the hustle of everyday work, his heart still remained with his wife back home, who had never seen the face of the world outside her own. Everyday, grandmother would diligently tend to the fields and her in-laws, while she would read the letters grandfather sent at night. Grandfather's friends would chide him for not taking in a mistress, while his parents urged him to divorce grandmother and marry a modern city girl, ignoring the fact that it was grandmother who cared for them everyday.
The world of passion and seduction, grandfather paid no attention to it; he would always remember the meek faced bowed under the veil. After the succession of the Chinese Communist Party, grandfather became a minor official due to his patriotic acts for the country. He took the oppotunity to bring his wife into the city. After years of seperation, grandmother's delicate face was still streaked with tears like before. Grandfather asked, "Do you still love me?" Grandmother nodded fervently. "Will you love me forever?" he asked. Grandmother paused and shook her head. Gradfather was a little disappointed.
They raised 4 children together, the eldest daughter was witty and studious, the eldest son was brave and hardworking, and their two younger sons were mischievious like other boys their age, always causing trouble for grandmother. Yet they were very happy. But this happiness did not last long, for grandfather was ruled as a capitalist and their comfortable life ended. Between "drawing the line" and "following suit", grandmother chose the latter without hesitation. And so she was punished along with her husband, suffered the same humiliation, and endured the shame with him. Grandfather was grateful for her sacrifice, and he buried this feeling into his heart. After many years, they'd finally made it through and grandfather got his business back. Their children too had their own careers and families by then.
At the wedding of their eldest grandson in a church, the priest asked, "Are you willing to marry him?" And grandfather too asked his wife, "Do you love me?" Grandmother raised her head. "I'd already loved you till my forehead is creased with wrinkles." Grandfather continued, "And will you only love me forever?" To his disappointment, grandmother shook her head as before.
Grandmother is ill, and it's getting worser by the day Grandfather stayed by her side day and night without fail. The doctor said that grandmother's too old, and she'll probably not make it. Grandfather was sad, but he knew this was inevitable, and that they'd finally reached this day. Grandmother motioned to him to take off her oxygen mask, and she asked him with a smile, "Do you love me?" Grandfather bit back his tears and nodded. Then she said, "I love you too. Until this day when I've finally reached the end of this life do I dare to tell you this: all my life you've been the only one I've ever loved."
No one cleared it, so this is how it looks like today.
It's been rather dull at the skin centre ( ̄ー ̄; We're doing just about the same things everyday: stone, wait patiently for lunch, run off and get back super late, stone till it's break and then slack until we can leave. I'd rather stay home and sleep (・Θ・;)
United Square food junction has quite a bit of good food ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ
Ahhh the pepper rice was super nice (☆。☆) I wanted to buy another dark mocha frappucino from starbucks again but I ran out of money!! (ノ_-。)

Oh yeah, I came across a chinese saying that sounds really cool.
独木不成林,单弦不成音
一木は森では無くて、一弦琴の音は音楽になることは無い
A single tree won't make up a forest, a single string won't make music
