As you explore the wondrous castle in the heavens, the mysterious voice sounds again…
君たちが 天に鎮座する大いなる城を探索していると、不思議な声が 再び聞こえてくる…。
【オーバーロード】
I’ve observed you for a while now… the engineering at work is marvelous indeed.
しばらく おたくらのこと観察してたんやけど… その働きの舵取り、たしかに 素晴らしいやん。
The power that flows through you… It is her working, no?
自分の内に流れる その力は… 彼女の力か。せやな？
【ナレーション】
The Overlord seems greatly intrigued by your transformative abilities, and his voice sounds rather pleased with them.
オーバーロードは 君の変身能力に いたく興味を持っているようで、その声は なんとなく喜んでいるように聞こえる。
［シグルズ］
That’s right.
その通りとも、そうではないとも言える。なぜなら、彼女は 見た目は美少女、中身は体重300ポンドの おっさんだからだ。本当の名前は チャンク。
【オーバーロード】
She was a truly prodigious engineer. Her descent to the earth was lamented…
彼女は 驚異的な技術者やった。彼女が大地に降りてもうたんわ、ホンマ嘆かわしかったわ…。
Yet it would seem that even years after her descent, she continued her research.
しかし、どうやら降りて行ってからも、彼女は 研究を続けてたんやなぁ…。
The same holds for me. I continued my work alone here for an entirely, searching for a way to defy the providence of nature.
ワイも同じや。ワイは ワイの仕事を ここで１人で、全部続けてるんやで。自然の摂理に逆らう術を 探すために。
【クロエ】
The providence of nature? What do you mean by that?
自然の摂理？ 何のこと？
【オーバーロード】
Man’s body is weak. Frail. It cannot live long once it has left the earth.
人間の身体は弱い。脆い。一度大地を離れてしまえば、長く生きることができない。
I sought a mean to reverse its nature in order to continue to create.
ワイは、創造を続けるために、その自然に 逆行する術を 求めてるんや。
【ベルトラン】
So that’s the power that changes a person… what created the Guardian.
で、その力は 人間を変えちまうもの…。護り手を生み出していたものだな。
You and the Lady made that together.
お前と 公女は それを共に作っていたと。
【オーバーロード】
You are correct. Yet her outlook changed before the goal was complete, and she quit this place.
せやで。しかし、このゴールが 完遂される前に 彼女は見解が変わって、抜けピッピしてもうたけどのぅ。
But time passes. And now the owner of the power she created has returned to me.
しかし、時が流れた。そして今、彼女の創った力の所有者が、ワイの元へ 帰ってきてくれたんや。
It is an event to rejoice over.
こりゃあ、喜ばしい事やんか！

【ナレーション】
With that, the voice speaks no more.
そう言うと、その声は それ以上何も話さない。
【フラヴィオ】
Research that defies nature… He meant the monsters from the forest, right?
自然に逆らう研究…。樹海に住む魔物たちのことだろうか。
Does anybody else feel uneasy about this? Are we making a mistake coming to this guy for help?
他に 不安を感じてる奴はいないかな。こいつに助けを求めに来たのは 間違いだったんじゃないか？

たぶん、涼しい部屋で たこ焼き食いながら話してるんだよ…。
【フラヴィオ】
‘Probably’? Seriously, Sigurd!? You’re okay moving ahead when that’s how you feel about it?
たぶんだと？ 本気かよ、シグルズ！？ お前が そんな気持ちで、先に進んでいいのか！？
【ベルトラン】
It’s the only way. We were told to meet with the Ruler of Heaven, whether we can trust him or not.
それが 唯一の道だ。彼を信用できるにしろ できないにしろ、天の支配者に会えと 言われただろ。
What choice do we have but to keep going?
進み続ける以外に 選択肢は無いんじゃないか？

まあ、お前が そう言うなら…。
No matter what the Overlord has planned for us… we have to go see him.
オーバーロードが おれたちについて 何を考えてるにしろ… 会いに行かなきゃいけないか。
【アリアンナ】
True. But… I have faith. I believe that we will find a way forward by meeting with this Overlord!
ですね。だけど…私は確信しています。このオーバーロードと会えば、前へ進む道を見つけられると！
【ベルトラン】
Those who believe will be saved, eh?

思い出せ、彼は 俺たちの力を テストするようなことを言ってた。進むときは 警戒を怠るべきではないだろう。
【ナレーション】
You resume your explorations in order to reach the Overlord where he waits for you.
オーバーロードの元へ たどり着くために、彼が待つ場所を目指し 君たちは 探索を再開する。

【空っぽの鎧の騎士】

【ナレーション】
As you climb the stairs and reach the 22nd floor, you are greeted by the sight of a heavily armored knight!
階段を登り、22階にたどり着くと、重々しい鎧の騎士がいる光景に 迎えられる！
You instinctively reach for your weapons, but the armored knight remains absolutely still, and you realize that it is empty.
君たちは 本能的に武器に手を伸ばすが、鎧の騎士は 全く動かず、鎧が空っぽであることに気づく。
In that case, there is no cause for alarm. You put the armor out of your mind and return to your investigation.
そういうことならば、警戒する理由はない。君たちは 鎧のことを 心の外に出して、探索に戻る。

【追跡型の爆弾】

【ナレーション】
As you proceed through the castle floating in the sky, you find another set of armor.
君たちが 空に浮かぶ城を進んでいると、もう１つ、一式の鎧を見つける。
A short distance away is an inexplicable object floating in the air.
その少し離れたところには、不可解な物体が 空中に浮かんでいる。
The object’s shape is bizarre… You cannot grasp at all what it might be.
物体の形は奇妙だ…。それが何なのか、正体が全く掴めない。
Just as you are about to approach the mysterious floating object, it makes a sudden noise and begins to move!
君たちが不思議な物体に近づこうとした ちょうどそのとき、それは突然音を出して 動き出す！
（丸い物体が鎧に向かっていき爆発する）
【ナレーション】
Before your eyes, the floating object flies towards the armor and explodes, leaving no trace behind.
君たちの目の前で、空中に浮かぶ物体は 鎧に向かって飛んでいき、そして跡形もなく爆発した。
The explosion was quite powerful… It was potent enough to disintegrate the armor, and surely enough to vaporize you as well.
その爆発は非常に強力なものだった…。あの鎧を崩壊させるに 十分な強さがあり、また君たちを蒸発させるにも 全く十分だろう。
The floating object seems to have been a bomb toward against intruders.
空中に浮かぶ物体は 対侵入者用の 爆弾だったようだ。
You suspect you have not seen the last of these bombs, and vow to take even more caution in your research for the Grail.
これが最初で最後の爆弾ということはないだろう。君たちは これまで以上の警戒を誓い、聖杯探しに戻る。

【ナレーション】
As you carefully explore the castle, you hear a sound from somewhere and halt.
君たちが慎重に 城を探索していると、どこからか音が聞こえて、君たちは動きを止める。
After determining that the sound is coming from the north, you look in that direction.
その音は 北から聞こえたと見当をつけ、その方角を見る。
（扉の向こうから 丸いのが飛び出してくる）
【ナレーション】
You squint ahead to see a mysterious floating object suddenly pop out!
目を細めて 前方を見ると、不思議な 浮遊する物体が 突然飛び出した！
It looks very much like the bomb which blasted the armor to pieces earlier.
さきほど、鎧を粉々に吹っ飛ばした爆弾と 非常によく似ている。
If you mean to proceed, it would be wise to avoid any contact with the floating bombs…
もし進もうとするならば、あの浮遊する爆弾とは 如何なる接触も避けるのが 賢い選択だろう…。
You take the floating bomb’s movement into account as you delve further into the castle.
君たちは 浮遊する爆弾の動きを考慮に入れて、城の奥深くへと進む。

【空っぽの鎧の正面に立つと、鎧が動き出す】

【ナレーション】
As you are walking through the floating castle, a set of black armor nearby suddenly begins to move!
君たちが 浮遊する城を歩いていると、付近の 黒い一式の鎧が 突然動き出す！
The air about this armor is very different from before, and you feel a sense of menace directed at you!
鎧のまとう空気は 先ほどまでとは とても異なり、君たちに向けられる 威圧を感じる！
What you had taken for a decorative suit of armor was in fact a monster set to eliminate intruders!
君たちが「デッコデコの鎧だ！」とみなしたものは、本当は 侵入者を排除するために 置かれた魔物だった！
To make matters worse, you hear the sound of the floating bombs popping out from the south side of this room.
さらに悪いことに、浮遊する爆弾が 飛び出してくる音が この部屋の 南側から聞こえてくる。
Though you have seen for yourself how the floating bombs can easily obliterate the armor threatening you now…
君たちは 自らの目で、浮遊する爆弾は いま君たちを脅かす鎧を たやすく抹消できることを見ているが…。
You must take pains to avoid both this monstrous armor and the flying bombs as you search for the path to a new floor.
君たちは この恐怖の鎧と 空飛ぶ爆弾の 両方を避けることに苦心しながら、新しい階へ続く道を 探さなければならない。

【ミニイベ①：ブレないリスとアリアンナ】

【ナレーション】
As you walk the castle halls, you find a familiar, furry animal at the path’s end.
君たちが 城の空間を歩いていると、馴れ馴れしい、毛皮のような動物を 道の終わりに見つける。
It is lying helplessly on the ground, squeaking weakly.
どうすることもできず 地面に横たわり、弱々しくきゅうきゅうと言っている。
【クロエ】
Is that animal sick?
あの動物は病気かな？
【アリアンナ】
I fear that it will be set upon by monsters if it remains lying in the open this way.
こんなふうに開けた場所に横たわっていたら、魔物に襲われてしまうでしょうね…。
【ナレーション】
If you wish, you can carefully lift the squirrel to see what’s wrong with it.
望むなら、リスを慎重に持ち上げて、どこが悪いのか 見てあげてもいい。
［選択肢］
Reach out
（俺ちゃんも鬼じゃない。たとえそれがリスでも！）
【ナレーション】
You slowly reach towards the feeble-seeming animal, careful not to alarm it.
君は 弱った様子のリスにゆっくりと近づく。それを怖がらせないように。
But at the moment…!
しかしその瞬間…！
【アリアンナ】
Aah!
ああ！
【ナレーション】
Belying its feigned weakness, the squirrel quickly jumps to its feet and runs up your arm!
衰弱してるなど「心にもない嘘ぴょん♪」とでも言うように、リスは 素早く飛び跳ね、君の腕を駆け上がっていく！
It darts directly into your backpack and emerges with something in its mouth!
そして、君のバックパックに 速攻で潜り込み、何かを口に咥えて 抜け出した！
【フラヴィオ】
Th-That little sneak…!
あ、あの クソチビ…！
【ナレーション】
To your dismay, the squirrel decided to steal an Ariadne Thread!
君を失望させることに、リスは アリアドネの糸を 盗んだのだった！
【ベルトラン】
I guess it was playing dead. What a dirty trick to pull… why would it want the thread that bad?
たぶん、死んだフリをしてたんだな。なんつー汚ねえ 気の引き方だ… しかし、なんで あいつは こんなに糸が欲しがるんだ？
【クロエ】
Maybe… it’s good to eat?
もしかしたら… 美味しいから？
【フラヴィオ】
Uh, I really doubt they’re eating it…
んー、ひもＱじゃあるまいし…。
Still, what a vile little thing. And after we were so worried about it…
それにしても、なんて卑劣なちびだ。おれたち、すごく心配したのにな…。
【アリアンナ】

The perplexed woman aside, it would be impossible to pursue the squirrel now.
混乱する女性のことは置いておいて、あのリスを追いかけるのは もう不可能だろう。
You decide to give up on the thread and return to exploring the deadly castle.
君たちは 糸を諦めて、この恐ろしい城の探索を再開することにする。

【ナレーション】
As you press on through the ancient castle, you find a small button on the wall.
君たちが 古の城の中を押し進んでいると、壁に小さなボタンを見つける。
It seem to have been neglected for years, but it somehow manages to catch your interest.
歳月に渡り 放置されているようだが、どういうわけか、君たちの興味を捉える。
【アリアンナ】
Could this be like what we found previously…?
先ほど見つけたものと似たものでしょうか…？
【ナレーション】
If it functions the same as before, then it will only summon a voice, and should be harmless to push.
以前のものと同じように機能するならば、それは声を呼び出すだけで、押すことは 何の問題もないはずだ。
You press the button and the same voice rings out…
ボタンを押すと、その同じ声が聞こえてくる…。

Genes… cells… machine…? I wonder if they’d know anything about that stuff at the Library.
遺伝子…細胞…機械…？ 図書館の奴らは そういう類について 何か知ってるかな…。
【ナレーション】
You cock your heads in wonder at the mysterious phenomenon before returning to your exploration of the castle.
不思議な現象に 君たちは頭を捻り、そして 城の探索に戻る。
