あそこ… 何かが飛んでる。

【ナレーション】
You shade your eyes to see what Chloe is talking about and see a monster flying around not far ahead.
クロエが話していたものを見るために 君たちは影に目を慣れさせると、あまり遠くない場所を飛んでいる魔物の姿を認める。
It shows no interest in you for now, but there’s no knowing when it may change its mind.
今は君たちに関心がないようだが、いつ気が変わるかはわからない。
【ベルトラン】
This one’s new to me, but it looks like it can fly over low obstacles to reach us.
こいつを見るのは初めてだが、奴は 低い障害物の上なら飛んで近づいてくることができそうだな。
Some things that would stop us could won’t matter at all to it, so let’s be careful of it as we go.

As you walk the lush green forest, you spot a member of the guard corps and hail him.
生い茂る緑の樹海を歩いていると、君たちは 衛兵部隊のメンバーに気づいて、声をかける。
When the guard notices your presence, he salutes and speaks to you.
君たちの気配に気がつくと、彼は敬礼し、話しかけてくる。
【衛兵】
You’re Bifrost, right? The ones they say saved my compatriots…
君たちは ビフレスト(ギルド名)だね？ 私の同胞を助けてくれたと言う…。
［シグルズ］
Indeed, we are Bifrost.
確かに俺たちがビフレストだ。
【衛兵】
That’s what I thought. A good thing, too, because I was looking for you.
そうだと思ったんだ。ありがたい、私は君たちのことを探していたんだ。
【アリアンナ】
For us…?
私たちのことを…？
【衛兵】
Well, I’d heard you took the mission to slay the king of beasts.
ああ。君たちは 獣たちの王を討つミッションを受けてくれたそうだね？
And something about that mission worries me. Do you know the guild called Beowulf?
そして、そのミッションのことで、心配な事があるんだ。君たちは ベオウルフというギルドを知っているかい？
【アリアンナ】
Beowulf…? Yes, we are acquainted.
Did something happen to them?
ベオウルフ…？ はい、知り合いです。彼らの身に何か起こったのでしょうか？
【衛兵】
Nothing as yet… but I heard a rumor that they’ve headed for the 5th floor as well.
今はまだ何も無いのだが… 彼らもまた、5階へ向かっていったという噂を聞いたんだ。
They might be trying to take on the Chimaera… just the two of them.
彼らは キマイラを引き受けようとしているのかもしれない…たったの２人で…。
［シグルズ］
That’s too dangerous.
それは危険すぎる。
【衛兵】
Yes. As strong as those two are… they’re going up against the king of beasts.
そうなんだ。彼ら２人ほどの力を持つものが…獣たちの王の元へ向かっている。
【ナレーション】
The guard stops there for a moment before continuing, a hint of longing in his voice.
言葉を一瞬止めた衛兵の声には、彼の切望の暗示が含まれている。
【衛兵】
You’re relatively new here, so you may not know, but Beowulf was once a five-member guild.
君たちは 比較的ここでは新しいから、知らないかもしれないけれど、かつてベオウルフは ５人のギルドだったんだ。
They get along so well… everyone loved them.

Hrothgar dragged his comrades back to the city, but only Wulfgar survived.
フロースガルは 彼の同志を引き摺って連れ帰ったんだ。しかし、助かったのはウルフガルだけだった。

彼は…ギルドメイトを失ってしまったのですか？
【衛兵】
That’s right. He was a sorry sight, I can tell you.
その通りだ。彼の落ち込む姿は とても見るに堪えなかった。
Ever since, those two stopped going deep into the forest, and started helping young explorers in the early Stratum.
それからは、彼ら２人は樹海の奥深くへ進むことをやめて、浅い階層で新米の冒険者たちのサポートを始めたんだ。
So when I heard that those two were headed for the 5th floor… I got an uneasy feeling.
だから、彼ら2人が5階へ向かったのだと聞いて…私は不安な気持ちになった。
This is Hrothgar we’re talking about, so I don’t think they’d go if they didn’t believe they could win. All the same…
これが件のフロースガルという人間で、だから、もし勝てる見込みがないと踏めば、彼らは無茶をしないと思うのだが…。いつもと同じようにね。

この件は、あいつら２人は 俺たちを巻き込みたいとは考えていないと思うぞ。
【衛兵】

If they were really out to win, wouldn’t they have recruited some new members before heading out?
もしあいつらが 本当に勝利にこだわっていたら、出発する前に 何人か新しいメンバーを誘うと思わないか？

Upon speaking thus far, the guard bows his head and apologizes for bringing such a topic up before returning to his duties.
そこまで話すと、衛兵は頭を下げて このような話題を持ち出したことについて謝罪すると、職務へ戻って行く。

What Sir Hrothgar said, about needing to do something… This must have been what he alluded to.
フロースガル様の言っていた「やらなければならないこと」とは…。間違いなくこのことを仄めかしていたのですね。

We have to hurry after him.

We must aid them in whatever way that we can.
