You search for whatever squared Chloe’s warning, and discover a green monster!
君たちは クロエの注告を駆り立てたものを探すと、緑の魔物を発見する！

That looks like a mean one. Ugh, this isn’t going to end well, is it?
意地の悪そうな奴だ。ったく、良い結果にはならない感じだな…。
【アリアンナ】
Yet we must pass through here if we mean to make any progress.
しかし、私たちが 何らかの進展を望むならば、ここを通り抜けなくてはなりません。

You decide to track the monster’s moves carefully as you search for a way to move through the room.
君たちは この部屋を抜ける道を探す間、その魔物の動きを 注意深く追跡することにする。

The green plant monster is so focused on pursuing you that it rushes headlong into the sharp-throned vines!
緑の植物の魔物は 君たちを追いかけることに あまりに夢中で、うっかり 鋭いトゲのツタに 頭から突っ込んでしまう！
【アリアンナ】
Oh? That monster…there’s something happening to it.
あら？ あの魔物…何かが起こったようです。
【ナレーション】
You look to see that the green monster which had been caught in the thorns slumps over, seemingly weakened.
君たちが トゲに捕まり 前かがみになる 緑の魔物を見ると、どうやら弱っているように見える。
【フラヴィオ】
I don’t blame it… Those vines really hurt.
俺、あいつのこと 責めることはできないよ…。あのツタ、本当に痛いもんな。
Look like even monsters have to look out for them.
どうやら、魔物でさえ、あれには 注意が必要みたいだ。
（ダメージ床から サボテンが逃げる）
【クロエ】
Oh. It ran away.
あ。逃げた。
【ベルトラン】
Hmm… We could use this. These vines might make it easier to dodge.
うむ… これは使えるかもしれないな。こういったツタが、回避を 容易にしてくれるかもしれん。
【ナレーション】
With that useful trick in mind, you begin your attempt to proceed.
その便利なトリックを心に留めて、君たちは 進む試みを始める。

Hm…? Sigurd, I hear something.
ん…？ シグルズ、何か聞こえる。
【ナレーション】
Chloe’s comment gives you pause and you listen carefully.
クロエのコメントは 君たちを立ち止まらせ、君たちは 耳を澄ませる。
Indeed, you hear the very sort sounds of chirping from somewhere.
たしかに、どこかから まさしく さえずるような音が 聞こえてくる。
【フラヴィオ】
The chirping’s pretty faint. Whatever’s doing it must be weak.
さえずりは すごく弱々しい。何であれ、それをしてるやつは 弱っているんだろう。
【ナレーション】
Though you have misgivings about this, you begin searching the area for the source of the chirping.
君たちは このことへの心配はあったが、さえずりの元を探して、エリアの捜索を始める。
Sound enough, you find a monster’s chick chirping pitifully at the roots of one of the trees.
充分な音がし、君は 一本の木の根で 哀れにさえずっている 魔物の小鳥を見つける。
The down-covered chick is frantically shaking its head, but it’s movements seem weak and lifeless.
下が覆われた小鳥は 必死にその頭を振っているが、その動きは 弱々しく、息絶えてしまいそうだ。
【アリアンナ】
The poor thing… Could it be in pain? If only we could help it…
かわいそうに…。痛みがあるのでしょうか？ この子を助けてあげられたら…。
【クロエ】
But it’s a monster. It’s tiny now, but when it grows up, it might be dangerous.
けど、これは魔物。今は小さいけど、成長したとき、危険になる。
【アリアンナ】
This is true, but…
その通りなのですが…
【ナレーション】
You cannot discount Chloe’s objection.
Though this chick may be in pain, it is still a monster.
クロエの指摘は 値引くことはできない。この小鳥は 苦しみの中にあるかもしれないが、魔物でもあるのだ。
That must be factored in when deciding whether to save the chick’s life or not.
小鳥の命を助けるか否かを 決めるのに、それは要素に 入れなければならない。

You cannot abandon a living thing, even a monster, to such pain and suffering.
君は たとえ魔物であっても、そのような苦しみと 危険に晒される、生き物を 無視することはできない。
【クロエ】

I think this chick swallowed something. If we help it cough it up, that should fix the problem.
この小鳥は 何かを飲み込んでいると思う。それを吐き出すのを 助けてあげれば、この子の問題は治る。
【フラヴィオ】
Uh… How do we do that with a chick?
ああ… どうやって小鳥相手に それをするんだ？
【ナレーション】
You quietly crouch down so as not to startle the suffering chick.
君は 苦しむ小鳥を驚かさないように 静かにしゃがむ。

If something is caught in the chick’s throat, a first step might be to touch the affected area to tell what it is.
何かが その小鳥の喉に 引っかかっているならば、ファーストステップは 影響を受けている部位に触り、それが何であるか 言うことだろう。
You can feel something hard through the chick’s thin skin. There is definitely foreign matter lodged there.
君は 小鳥の薄い皮膚を通して、何か硬いものを 感じることができる。明らかに 外部的要因が そこに宿っている。
【アリアンナ】
Ah, Sir Sigurd. I was wondering…
What if you pushed upward on the object in tandem with the chick’s movements?
あの、シグルズ様。悩んでいたのですが…。小鳥の動きに合わせて、物体を 直列に 上へ押し出すのは どうでしょう？
The poor chick seems to be trying to cough it up. Might that not speed the process along?
かわいそうな小鳥は それを吐き出そうとしているようです。そうしたら、そのプロセスを早めてあげられないでしょうか？
【ナレーション】
You follow along with Arianna’s idea and rub the chick’s throat as it tries to cough up the hard object.
君は アリアンナのアイデアに従って、小鳥が 硬い物質を吐き出そうと試みるときに、その喉を こする。
【アリアンナ】
Hold fast, little one…!

With a bizarre belching sound, a stone tumbles out from the chick’s mouth!
奇妙な喚き声と共に、小鳥の口から 石が転がり落ちた！
To your surprise, the object lodged in the chick’s throat turns out to be a large gem.
驚いたことに、小鳥の喉に宿っていた物質は 大きな宝石であることが 判明する。

ルビーを 手に入れた。
【ナレーション】
Now that the foreign object has been expelled, the chick steadily regains its normal breathing.
いま、その外部の物質は追放され、小鳥は 徐々に 通常の息遣いを取り戻す。
【クロエ】
It’ll be okay now. It just needs to warm up, since it’s weak.
もうこの子は大丈夫ね。まだ弱いから、温まる必要がある。
【ナレーション】
You do what you can to ensure that the chick’s body temperature does not fall any further.
君たちは 小鳥の体温が これ以上下がらないようにするため、できることをする。
After some time, the chick raises its head to look at you, and then gives a hearty chirp.
少し経つと、小鳥は 君たちを見るために 頭を上げて、すると 心のこもった囀りをしてくれた。
【アリアンナ】
Thank goodness… I believe it will be all right now!
よかった…。もうこの子は大丈夫でしょう！
【ナレーション】
You return the chick to its nest before resuming your investigation.
探索を再開する前に、君たちは 小鳥を巣に戻してあげる。

After passing over the scalding floors, you see a marvelous sight at the path’s end.
燃えるような床を 抜けたあと、君たちは 通路の終わりで 絶景に出くわす。
The tree trunk before you is forked in two, and a shining liquid spills over the center.
その樹の幹は 二方へ枝分かれしており、輝く雫が 中心から こぼれ落ちている。
【クロエ】
What’s this?
これは何？
【フラヴィオ】
Is it sap? I’ve never seen it pool up like this before.
樹液かな？ こんなふうに 波々になってるのは 見たことがないけど。
【ナレーション】
You may try drinking the liquid, or ignore it and be on your way.
君たちは この液体を 飲んでみてもいいし、無視して 進んでもいい。
［シグルズ］

There is enough of the shining liquid for you all. You each take turns scooping up a handful and swallowing it.

By tomorrow, there should be enough for you all to have another drink.
