黒を纏った、背の高い男は、間違いなく エスバットのヴィルヘルムだ。
Yet you do not see Artelinde, his constant companion.

When the white-haired man notices you, he gives a short, stern exhalation.

最たる不運だ、ビフレストよ。おぬしらとは ２度と道が交差せぬことを 願っていた…。

もう一度頼もう。
Go no further past this point. I do not wish to see you perish in this forest.
これ以上遠くへ、ここを通過して行かないでくれ。この樹海で、おぬしらが滅びるのは 見たくない。
［シグルズ］

そう言って、マークスマンは歩き去ってゆく。その後ろには、足跡だけを 白い雪の中に残して。

I was worried about this for a while, but I think those two really are taking out anyone who tries to go further in.

Though doubtful, you dig away at the snow, but lo and behold—you find an iron helm that seems to belong to a guard!
疑いながらも、雪を掘り取ると、驚くなかれーー君たちは 衛士のものらしき 鉄の兜を見つける！

Did he get caught in an avalanche!? Hang in there! We’ll get you out!
彼は 雪崩に捕まったのか！？ 堪えてくれ！ いま助け出すからな！
【ナレーション】
You quickly dig out the snow covering the buried guard and lift him up.
君たちは 埋まった衛士を覆う雪を 迅速に掘り出し、彼を引き上げる。

He’s chilled to the bone. We’ll need to warm him up.
彼は骨まで冷えてる。彼を温める必要がありそうね。
【ナレーション】
Though the guard is severely enfeebled from his time under the snow, he speaks haltingly as Chloe treats him.
衛士は 雪の下での時間により ひどく弱っていたが、クロエが 彼を手当すると たどたどしく話す。
【衛士】
I…I’m saved…?
わ…私は助かったのか…？
【クロエ】
Mm-hm. You’re alive, Mr. Guard.
うんうん。あなたは生きてる、衛士さん。
【衛士】
I-I see… I was on my rounds… everything went white… I thought I was done for.
そ、そうか…。私は 見回りをしていた… すべてが真っ白になって… 私は もうおしまいだと思った。
【ナレーション】
The guard shows an intense relief at surviving as he thanks you.
彼は 君たちに感謝を述べる中、生き残れたことに 激しい安堵を見せる。

The soldier removes money from under his helm and holds it out shakily to you.
兵士は ヘルムの下から お金を取り外し、よろよろしながら 君たちに差し出す。
