We made temporary rolls of the strip width size. Because the backing size is large, it was much more difficult than using Hanshi paper.
The work was finished just like the photo. It has become a great hanging scroll. Final size is W44 x H178 cm. The temporary hanging scroll is designed to fold the top character. This is because as you roll it up, there will be a difference in the circumference of the hanging scroll and the work. If you roll the paper overlapping each other, the edges won't fit perfectly. This is the influence.
The hanging scroll has a traditional pattern called Unkagami. It has a very antique feel.
There are wrinkles in several places due to the lining of the piece, but these wrinkles further strengthen the antique look. It's so cool.
The result is a work that more deeply expresses the scene shown in the words of the work. It's not just the artwork, but adding decorations gives it even more depth.
