Brush pens are very useful for writing simple Japanese calligraphy. It comes with an ink cartridge, so you don't have to wash it. It has a synthetic resin brush at the tip, and the writing taste is quite different from the brush used for real calligraphy. In Japan, there is a custom of sending postcards called New Year's cards to express one's beliefs. In today's society, there are almost no people who write by hand, but you can sometimes see people writing addresses and names with a brush pen. It's good to use a brush.

However, please do not use brush pens to create your work. You can't back the finished work. The ink in brush pens is water-based. When lining, the glue is applied to the back of the work, so the water from the glue bleeds through and ruins the work. You feel very disappointed.

People who do Japanese calligraphy probably use a set of small brushes. The cute size small brush set shown in the photo is very convenient as it is small and easy to wash.
