Work No. : 017

Artist: Ki-shi

Size: W243 x H334 [mm] Han-shi

Price: USD 500

Calligraphic style: Cho-wa

Meaning: A river flows soundlessly and richly through a meadow covered in evening dew.

Comments: This SHODO is a harmonious version of Yosa Buson's poem. This work emphasizes the dew on the grass, and he seems to have a special fondness for this meadow at dusk. Apparently, he has fond memories of the grasslands in Yamanashi Prefecture that he visited when he was a child. I didn't ask him what kind of memories he had. The voiceless intention of the water is drawn with a very soft touch, and this work is also very feminine and calming.
