『白金台にて』

6月。

紫陽花が美しい季節になりました。

1月からイタリアで紹介してきた西陣織アート。

3回目のフィレンツェの展示会のために映像を制作しました。

制作を決めたのがイベントの3週間前で、そこからロケハン、キャスト探し、撮影、編集を終えるのはかなりのハードスケジュール

寝る間も惜しんで東奔西走の毎日でした。

監督のラファエルは、父親がポルトガル人の映画監督、母親がフランス人女優。

日本の文化を心から愛する若者で、このプロジェクトに是非とも協力したいと言ってくれました。

映像制作にかける情熱も人一倍で、素晴らしい感性の持ち主です。

成人式の晴れ着を着るシーンの女の子は、銀座のレストランでアルバイトしていた高校生をスカウト。

人探しも大変で、時間がない中ほとんど綱渡りでした

ショートムービーの制作に際し、多くの皆様にご協力いただき心から感謝しています。

June has begun.

It's the season of beautiful hydrangeas.

I've introduced Nishijin textile art in Italy since January and I decided to make a short movie to be shown at the last exhibition in Firenze.

It was a really tough and hard schedule to complete the location scouting, finding cast members, shooting and editing in only 3 weeks. We were on the move every day even sparing time for sleep.

The director, Rafael is the son of a Portuguese filmmaker and a French actress. He truly loves Japanese culture and wanted to participate in this project. He is still young but has a great creativity and a passion for making movies.

The girl in the scene that she wears a traditional coming-of-age kimono was a high school student and she was working at a restaurant in Ginza. I scouted her.

I would like to thank all the people who cooperated with us in the production.

『フィレンチェ・ローマにて』

今月1日の誕生日にメッセージをくださった皆様、ありがとうございました！（今頃スミマセン）

1日にフィレンツェでのイベントが終わってから2日間だけ時間があったので、一日はローマに日帰りし、ゴッホ展、コロッセオ、古代ローマ時代の遺跡（フォロ・ロマーノ）、パラティーノの丘へ。

もう一日はフィレンツェでウフィツィ美術館、メディチ家跡、メディチ家礼拝堂を訪ねました。

イタリアに行く前からメディチ家にまつわる数々のシンクロがあり、今回現地でメディチ家ツアーに参加しました。

とても気さくなイタリア人ガイドの男性が、メディチ家とフィレンツェの歴史について詳しく教えてくれたこともあり、益々興味が湧いてワクワク

メディチ家はルネサンス期のフィレンツェにおいて銀行家、政治家として台頭、後にトスカーナ大公国の君主となった一族として有名です。

その財力でボッティチェリ、レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチ、ミケランジェロ、ヴァザーリ、ブロンツィーノなど多数の芸術家をパトロンとして支援し、ルネサンスの文化を育てる上で大きな役割を果たしました。

メディチ家が集めた美術品はウフィツィ美術館にもたくさん残されているので、今回かの有名なボッティチェリやレオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチの名画に触れることができました。

メディチ家礼拝堂は息を飲む美しさで、まさにパラレルワールド。

30分ほど座ってその当時のフィレンツェに思いを馳せました。

3月のミラノに続き今回もイタリアで素晴らしい体験ができました。

まだまだ訪ねたいところがたくさんあるので、年内にもう一度行きたい！

It has been two weeks since I returned from Firenze, Italy.

Thank you to everyone who sent me messages for my birthday on the 1st. (Too late to say thank you. Sorry!)

Since I had time for two days after the event in Firenze, I went to Rome for one day to visit the Van Gogh exhibition, the Colosseum, the ancient Roman ruins (Roman Forum) and the Palatine Hill. The next day, I stayed in Firenze for visiting the Uffizi Gallery, the Medici ruins and their chapel.

I had been looking forward to visiting Medici places because of the several synchronicities related to the Medici family before I went to Italy. I joined the tour of Medici and the guide was a super friendly and knowledgeable Italian guy. He explained about the Medici family and Firenze's history, which made me even more interested in it.

The Medici family was bankers and politicians who had tremendous power in Firenze during the Renaissance, and later became the monarchs of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

With their wealth, they supported many artists such as Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Vasari and Bronzino as patrons, and had a major role in fostering the culture of the Renaissance.

The works of art collected by the family are in the Uffizi Gallery and other museums. It was inspiring for me to see the real works by Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci at the museum. The Medici Chapel was absolutely beautiful and amazing. It was truly a parallel universe. I was sitting there for 30 minutes and thought about Firenze of that time.

It was another great experience after my last visit to Milan in March. There are still many places I would like to visit and would love to go back to Italy again this year!

『フィレンチェ・ローマにて』

フィレンツェから戻りました。

「日本の真心を世界に！プロジェクト」の第一弾で、この1月から京都の西陣織アートをイタリアで紹介してきました。

1月がベルガモ、3月がパルマ、そして4月25日から5月1日までの1週間、フィレンツェで開催された展示会に出展。

私は最後の2日間、朝から22時まで会場に立ちましたが、弊社の展示はさながら美術館のように初日から多くの人を集め大盛況。

西陣織を見たことがないヨーロッパの人たちから「これは何？」「どうやって使うの？」と質問され「素晴らしい！」「美しい！」と多くのお褒めの言葉をいただきました。

弊社のアンバサダーとして大活躍してくれたモンシェリに心から感謝。

彼は連日抜群のトークを展開し、まるでツアーガイドのようでした。

日本の文化、西陣織の歴史、素晴しい伝統工芸がいまや厳しい状況にあるというストーリーを語って、たくさんのお客様を引き寄せていたのは驚きです。

31歳のイタリア人デザイナーの彼は、とても賢く思慮深く魅力的な性格で、人生についてたくさん語り合いました。

素晴しい人との出会いはいくつになっても触発されます。

今回、イタリア人が美しいものを心から愛する国民で、それを生活に取り入れようとする姿を目の当たりにしました。

できれば、このあとパリ、ロンドン、モナコでも紹介したい！

西陣織のみならず、日本には職人さんの真心がこもった素晴らしい品がたくさんあります。

引き続き日本の職人さんと海外の架け橋としてのお役目を果たしてまいります。

I've returned from Firenze.

I've been introducing Kyoto's Nishijin textile art in Italy since January as I've started new project, showing "Sincerity of Japan" to the world last year. I participated in an exhibition in Bergamo in January, in Parma in March and the big one in Firenze for a week from April 25 to May 1.

I was at the exhibition hall from morning till 10pm for the last two days. It was a great success, attracting many people more than I expected. Our exhibition was like a museum. People from Europe who had never seen Nishijin before asked us questions such as "What is this?" "How do you use it?" Also they said "This is beautiful!" "It's amazing!" We received many compliments.

It was a great pleasure to be able to introduce wonderful Japanese traditional crafts to the people in Europe.

I'm very grateful to our ambassador Mon Sherill who has been supporting us to promote there. He gave the people a great talk like a tour guide. He was telling about Japanese culture, the history of Nishijin textiles and the story of a wonderful traditional industry that is now in a difficult situation, which attracted many customers. He is an Italian designer who is very smart and thoughtful. He has a great personality even though he is 31 years old. We talked a lot about life. Meeting wonderful people is always inspiring, no matter how old we are.

At this exhibition, I was able to see Italian people absolutely love beauty and they try to get it into their lives. If possible, I would like to introduce it in Paris, London and Monaco after this!

I will continue to do my job as a bridge between Japanese craftsmen and the world as there are many wonderful products in Japan, not only Nishijin textiles, that are made with the sincerity of the artisans.

『羽田空港にて』

ゴールデンウィーク初日。

羽田空港にいます。

9時40分出発予定が遅れて10時25分に。

4月21日から始まった水星逆行のせいでしょうか

いよいよ25日からフィレンツェでイベントが始まりました。

準備の様子がイタリアから送られてきました。

30日、5月1日の2日間、朝から夜まで会場に張り付き、ヨーロッパの方々に日本の文化をご紹介してまいります。

Golden Week has started.

I am at Haneda Airport.

The scheduled departure time of 9:40 was delayed to 10:25. Maybe it's because of Mercury retrograde which started on April 21st

An event finally started on the 25th in Firenze. The staff sent me the pictures when they were preparing.

I will be there from morning till night on the 30th and May 1st and introduce Japanese culture to European people.

『ミラノ・フィレンチェにて』

2007年3月にスタートした弊社、この12日から17年目に入りました。

優秀なスタッフたちにいつも心から感謝しています。

イタリアから戻って早2週間。

24年ぶりのミラノ、そして初フィレンツェは素晴らしかった！

前回のミラノは1999年の3月、目的は欧州チャンピオンズリーグ準々決勝の観戦。

1998年のワールドカップ・フランス大会でヨーロッパサッカーにはまった私と5歳の息子の2人旅でした。

今回のミラノ、当時訪ねた場所に行くとそれがまるで昨日のことのように思えてならず、タイムスリップしたような感覚。

素晴らしい建築物も美味しい食事も満喫しました。

来月末はフィレンツェで大きなイベントがあり、またまた西陣織アートを出展します。

再びイタリアへ

Our company, which started in March 2007 began its 17th term on March 12th.

Thanks always to our excellent staff.

I came back from Italy 2 weeks ago.

Milan and Firenze were wonderful!

In March 1999, I traveled to Milan and Rome with my son who was 5 years old to watch the quarterfinal of the European Champions League because my son and I became big fans of European soccer after watching the 1998 World Cup in France.

The last time I've been there was 24 years ago, but I felt as if it was only yesterday, like I have slipped back in time. I totally enjoyed the beautiful architectures and good food. I love Europe

At the end of next month, there will be a big exhibition in Firenze and I will be going for introducimg Nishijin textile art again.

『成田空港にて』

再び成田空港にいます。

ミラノ、フィレンツェへ

３日からの展示に向けて、西陣織アートをイタリアに運びます。

美術品、しかも荷物がとても多いので、ミラノ空港の通関が少々不安。

スムースにいきますように！

I'm at Narita again.

I will bring Nishijin textile arts to Milan and Firenze, Italy for the exhibition starting on the 3rd.

I'm worried about the customs clearance at

the Milan airport as I have a lot of things and they are the artworks. Hope it will go well!

2023年備忘録④

『ドバイにて』

ドバイから戻りました。

現地2泊で、日本の伝統工芸の売り込みのほか、首都アブダビにある世界で一番美しいと言われるシェイク・ザイード・グランド・モスクを訪れ、建設費世界一のホテル、エミレーツ・パレスやドバイモールにも行ったので、寝る間も惜しんで動きました。

かなりのハードスケジュールでしたが、異国の文化を体験するのはいつもワクワク。

寝なくても疲れ知らずです。

来週は久々のイタリア

ミラノとボローニャに飛びます

I've returned from Dubai.

During my two nights there, I promoted traditional Japanese crafts and visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi which is said to be the most beautiful mosque in the world. I also went to the Emirates Palace which is the most expensive hotel to build and Dubai Mall.

It was quite hard schedule, but I had no problem without sleeping because I'm always excited to learn about foreign cultures and experience new things.

Next week I will fly to Milan and Bologna in Italy

『成田空港にて』

3年ぶりの海外は4月のイタリアかと思っていたら、ドバイでした。

ドバイ行きを決めたのが4日前。

西陣織アートを売り込んできます。

人生は短い。

やりたいことはすぐにやろう！

I thought my first overseas trip in 3 years would be to Italy in April, but it's to Dubai.

I decided to go just 4 days ago.

I will promote Nishijin textile art to the wealthy people over there.

Life is short.

Let's do what we want to do right away!

🌈2023年2月5日

『恵比寿にて』

2月に入りました。

昨日立春を迎えて、ここから本格的に2023年のスタートです。

一昨年、経産省の再構築事業補助金の採択を受けたのですが、1月末が実績報告書提出の期限でした。

先月はほぼその準備に費やし、毎日夜中の帰宅が続きました

ここからようやく新規事業（日本の伝統文化・伝統工芸を海外に紹介し職人さんをサポート）に集中できます。

まずは、先月イタリアのベルガモで京都の西陣織アートを紹介。

3月はパルマ、4月末にはフィレンツェで展示します。

フィレンツェには私も行く予定です。

ここから越境ECもどんどん進めます。

この新規事業に関わってくれる二人のフランス人、アレヅキとレオ。

SNSのライティングと映像制作を担当します。

レオの30歳のお誕生日をお祝いしました

February.

It is said the year 2023 began yesterday in Risshun, the beginning of spring.

In 2021, I was accepted for a METI grant, restructuring project and the end of January was the deadline for submitting the final report of the project performance, so I was absolutely busy preparing for it last month. Almost dying since it was really hard.

I'm glad that finally I can concentrate on my new project, introducing Japanese traditional culture and products to the world and supportiing artisans.

First of all, I introduced Kyoto's Nishijin textile art in Bergamo, Italy last month and will continue in Parma next month. I'm going to attend a big exhibition in Firenze at the end of April. Looking forward to it!

I will also promote our EC site for overseas.

Young French guys, Alezki and Leo will join in this project. They are going to write articles and make videos for SNS.

2023年大晦日。

今年も1年早かった！

パンデミック明けの今年は、海外に出る機会が多かったこともあり、かなり多忙を極めました。

年明けからひたすら走っていた感じです

新年明けましておめでとうございます。

京都に行ってきました。

ここのところ、仕事でしばしば訪れています。

今年は日本の素晴らしい伝統文化を海外に紹介し、少しでも職人さんたちのお力になりたいと思っています。

まずはイタリアへ。

I've been visiting there on business these days.

This year, I want to make further progress in introducing the wonderful Japanese traditional culture and products to the world and helping artisans. So I will move forward even more.
