My English teacher Mr. Naoki Kurihara was kind enough to visit Camp Zama today. He was very supportive of in my journey to become a calligrapher.
We were able to see an exhibition about me (“Shodoka Saori”) at the Camp Zama Library. The exhibit was created to inform the Camp Zama Community that I will teach shodo classes at the Camp Zama Library in February and April. It features photos and information about my journey to become a calligrapher. Mr. Kurihara played a vital role this my shodo journey, so I wanted him to see this exhibit and thank to him in person.
Moreover, we enjoyed spending time with librarian Jim-san, journalist Daisuke-san and many people there who have been kind to me.
Also, Mr. Kurihara gave Jim-san a Furin is made by "Tenmyo Casting", a traditional metal from Sano City, Tochigi.
Special thanks to Jim-san and Kurihara-san. I deeply appreciate the time you took from your busy schedules.
