子曰、君子病無能焉。不病人之不己知也。
書き下し文
子曰(しいわ)く、君子(くんし)は能(よ)くする無(な)きを病(や)む。人(ひと)の己(おのれ)を
知(し)らざるを病(や)まず。
現代語訳
老師の教え。「君子は自分に能力のない事を気にする。しかし、人が自分の能力を知らない事は気にしない」
英訳
The Master's teachings, " A man of virtue is care about things that are not capable of themselves. But I don't care what people don't know about their abilities."
