朋友之饋、雖車馬、非祭肉、不拜。

十七 朋友(ほうゆう)の饋(き)は、車馬(しゃば)と雖(いえど)も、祭肉(さいにく)に
非(あら)ざれば、拝(はい)せず。
現代語訳
孔先生は、友人からの贈り物がたとえ車や馬のような高価なものであっても、祭肉でなければ、
拝礼はしなかった。
英訳
If the gift from a friend is expensive like a car or a horse, it is not a festival meat.
Confucius did not worship.
